Middle Age is considered 50 because the first 10 to 15 years don’t count as a child/early teen. It’s really the middle age as a conscious adult. That’s why your 40s and 50s is middle age.

Nope - the average 38 year old male in the US can expect to live an additional 43.8 years (based on the Social Security actuarial calculator) Real “middle age” is around 41 based on the calculator (defined as where the “additional life expectancy = age)

If you are born in Mississippi, it is more like 36!

Not for Canadians.

This includes a lot of infant mortality and other "early death" numbers. Not including things that take the lives of those very young in age, the life expectancies of those of us who live beyond young age is actually much higher. But, hey. I'm 42 and I still think we should all travel and experience life while we can.
