Just spent two days in Manhattan… Was way cleaner, safer and organized than expected. Biked all over town and I didn’t see a single concerning thing. I’d would have no concerns taking my young children there. Contrast that to the West Coast, like Seattle, where I was a few months ago, which was over run with rampant drug abuse and filth. Some cities have recovered better from the pandemic than others. New York is doing great.

With a week to reflect, I’m convinced this was the greatest moment in sports history. A 2-star recruit leads the worst program ever to a national championship, beats his hometown team that wouldn’t let him walk on, and finishes it by running over the same guy who knocked him out the year before, with his mother battling MS watching from the stands. If it was a Disney movie, you’d say it was too much.

A guy I know applied for a part time role in the Indiana Jones show at Disney on a whim. No acting or stunt background. Just the right size. Thought it would be fun. He didn’t tell his kids. Just showed up today in costume and surprised them with his debut. We went to see him and I figured he’d be an extra or in the background or something. Nope. Here he is fighting Indiana Jones in the final scene. I almost spit out my drink. Absolutely badass. The legend of this Dad just grew in his kids’ eyes. Turns out you can just do things.
