🎬Midjourney + Runway + Hailuo AI + Udio: "Winter's Call" (AI music video) It felt amazing to get the opening shot, and both the cat and the owl look very natural, thanks to Hailuo AI. I used Gen-3 Alpha and Alpha Turbo to get some of the precise, rotating shots. Midjourney v7 // Kling AI 2.0 → music: Suno v4.5 → editing: CapCut I've always loved it ever since Kling 1.6, for its very natural and candid appeal. With 2.0, it just gets even better. I'm a huge fan of the candid and handheld style. And always want to achieve that Wong Kar-wai vibe. The best thing to do is, in the negative prompt section, make sure to write "Slow Motion." For me, it works really well, as it avoids that typical slow-motion result you often get from generated videos. As for the prompt itself, it's very simple. Captured in handheld shaky camera, candid moments, [description here], natural gesture. And that's it. That's the only prompt formula I use.

This is the best AI-generated movie trailer I have personally done! I am happy to share my latest AI trailer, "BloodSpace," based on a feature film I am currently developing. Make sure you watch til the end! I had to sneak in at least one shot with Runway's new last-frame tool. That's the power of these AI films; you can edit them up to release within minutes. I used many different AI tools to bring this vision to life and I can geek out in the notes if anyone is interested. Ok finally dug into Meta's new Movie Gen paper. Text-to-video is cool and all but, to me the precise editing feature is the game changer. I mean just look at these results 🤯 It can handle complex VFX tasks like replacing environments, doing set extensions, swapping characters, removing items, adding particle effects with realistic lighting interaction. The coolest bit to me is how they trained this model, because paired before/after vfx editing datasets are super scarce. TL;DR They taught it video editing through a clever three-stage process: 1. Started with image editing data, treating it like single-frame video edits. 2. Created synthetic video editing tasks by animating still image edits and using AI models (like SAM and DINO) for object segmentation. 3. The model generated edited videos, and then learned to reconstruct the originals from the edited version Meta calls this "video editing via backtranslation" and the results speak for themselves.

I still can't believe this works! Every filmmaker needs to try the hybrid AI filmmaking + Blender previs workflow for precise camera control. AI dialogue is still flat but I'm going to dive into solving that next. My workflow: 1. Generate a start frame in Midjourney 2. Block out the scene in Blender, animate the camera 3. Feed both to Seedance So much of cinematic storytelling is composition, timing, and giving the viewer a spatial understanding of the scene. You can solve all of that before you ever touch the video model.
