MCP is mind-blowing. Here is a genius setup that will earn you a promotion with your manager. I have multiple data sources: data in S3, MySQL, and local files. Using Spice (an open-source project), I can co-locate all of that data behind a single SQL endpoint and augment it using MCP. Before, accessing data was slow, and I had to make multiple requests to get anything. After using Spice, I can query the data much faster (since it's mirrored locally), and I don't have to worry about where the data is coming from. I built an app in Softr for the HVAC industry to solve some crucial problems. The problem is that those in the HVAC industry and similar industries like construction, plumbing, and electrical do not have one source of truth where: 1. Their clients can request for thier services. 2. Clients can be onboarded after they make a payment. 3. They store the information and bio data of their technicians. 4. They assign tasks to their technicians. 5. Technicians can track onsite jobs with pictures in real time of when working. 6. Clients see the progress of their projects. 7. Invoices and quotations from paid clients can be tracked. 8. Technicians borrow assets from the company, and they can be tracked. 9. There is a database where every individual, from technicians to admin and clients, are all stored. 10. Login details from every individual are secured and they can only see things that are their business without seeing that of another person, be ita technician or a client. These and many more are what people in these industries face as a challenge. I came up with a solution that addresses all these problems. I built a workflow that also auto-populated the users table in the database with technicians and clients when the records are filled in the technician and client tables, respectively. There is also a workflow that sends an email to the admin when a client makes a request from the portal. Taking advantage of the database, workflow, and portal gave a full-blown application for the HVAC industry. hi guys, i had the opportunity to test the beta version of the mobile app from OpenSea, and i would like to share my impressions. the application works great, smoothly and quickly. you simply connect your profile and all your chest progress and wallets are displayed there. you can see your wallets from evm, solana, and abstract. the design also looks great. it has a beautiful liquid style that matches recent ios updates and overall looks wonderful. the application is truly comprehensive. you can track your favorite collections, place orders, buy and sell, and do all of this directly from your phone. you also have access to buying and selling tokens across the different supported networks. in essence, it provides a full defi experience in a single application with access to nfts and tokens, and most likely perps soon. in my opinion, it is one of the best web3 applications at the moment. i wish the OpenSea team success in realizing their plans, and i hope all users will be able to see this application very soon. i am sure it will become an integral part of your web3 journey 🌊🐋

One fun and unique take-away from Mike's WS episode: ** Creating AI Systems with Tasted and Opinion is Important ** He suspects that AI systems that are bound to being 150 IQ "midwits" (an aggregate of opinions), we are heading in the wrong direction - one that might lead us away from a worthy successor. From Mike's vantagepoint, this kind of "mid"-ness is a kind of squelching of the state-space of ideas and unique insight that might enter the world through these systems. He sees this as potentially a better general principle for treating future minds, and also as a near-term "trajectory" for AGI development that might encourage more expansion and possibility in the new minds we're conjuring. ... What I admire most about Mike in addition to his measured way of picking apart topics, is that he's doing one of the most ambitious things a thinker can do: To carve out provable theories of mind and sentience (not mere scattered thoughts and hypotheticals). Tech giants have been building huge data files on every Australian for years. Those huge data files that contain every website you visited, every post you made on their social media, everything you have ever bought online. Keywords scanned from conversations overheard by Siri and Alexa in your home are now unmasked. Until now, that data was anonymised using a unique identifier rather than name and address, which has always been there as well. However, tech companies were not allowed to use it or share data with others that included the person's name and address. Until Now. Look for the tech giants to ask for your Digital ID as a requirement of using their service. The point of that exercise is to ensure they put the right name on the right data treasure trove. This is why the Liberal Party have moved amendments to the Digital ID Bill to bring private corporations into this roll out earlier. All those treasure troves of data worth billions, trillions, that have been accumulated for years illegally, by retailers, tech and data companies - all that unrealised profit just sitting there has been too much of a temptation for the Liberal Nationals to resist and is now joined with Labor in pushing Digital ID. There will be no escape from the digital ID. Australians now have a digital version of "papers please" and Australians will never be the same.

The same kinds of productivity gains we've seen in coding with AI agents are heading to the rest of knowledge work. This is the jump when you go from having a chatbot to being able to actually have an agent go off and do work for minutes or even hours and come back with a complete work output that you then review. Here's an example of the new Box Agent filling out an RFP response from an existing knowledge base. This process would normally take hours to fill out, and requires the full attention of the user doing the work. Google open-sourced MCP Toolbox for Databases. I gave it access to everything else. For context, Google's MCP Toolbox for Databases is an open-source server that lets AI agents securely query structured databases like PostgreSQL and MySQL through the MCP protocol However, most enterprise knowledge doesn't actually live in databases. It's scattered across emails, Slack threads, GitHub repos, Salesforce records, customer reviews, and internal docs. So Agents can't see any of it, which means they're working with a fraction of the context they need. I fixed that using MindsDB. It acts as a universal SQL layer that sits on top of all your data sources: structured, semi-structured, and unstructured. This means you can query Salesforce, Gmail, GitHub, S3 files, Jira, and 200+ more sources using SQL syntax. The clever part is how it connects to the MCP Toolbox. MindsDB exposes everything through MySQL, so from the Agent's perspective, it's just running SQL and getting context back. It doesn't know or care that the data came from five different sources behind the scenes. Next, support for the Dreamcast's MOUSE and KEYBOARD have been added. These controls play EXTREMELY well and feel like a very smooth, natural way to play the game, if you want the Steam/PC control scheme.
