Mike Oldfield - Tubular Bells Full Album

It's a very complicated riff to play with the Bass Guitar. In the original recording of the album it lasts about 7 minutes, Oldfield did it in one take and ended up with bleeding fingers. Mike Oldfield has been one of the great unknown bassist.

The first album released by Virgin Records, this was a slow burn given its unique sound: complex instrumentation, a unique time signature, no lyrics and 49 minutes long. But it's rightly a classic. Mike Oldfield performed a condensed version live at the BBC in November 1973 (though it was broadcast in January the following year) and it's a fantastic watch. Vivian Stanshall from the Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band introduces the instruments at the end.
