Mikel Arteta explains why he chose Viktor Gyokeres over Benjamin Sesko for Arsenal… “At the end, we have to make a decision, and we believe that Viktor [Gyokeres] was the best one. “In the scenario that we were in the qualities that we didn't have in that number nine... as well, because we have the situation with Gabby [Jesus] and Kai [Havertz] out for many, many months, and we are very happy to have him. “[We needed] someone that can guarantee you goals. We know that that word doesn't exist. But then someone very direct, very powerful, a proper nine that has the ball between the eyes and somebody that can stretch the pitch for us a bit more, especially when we have to play against certain opposition.”show more

🗣️ Arteta was asked if a forward that drops deep to link up play like Gabriel Jesus is best suited to getting the most out of his system: “Depending on the opposition. If we play against a very low block and you have a 9 that drops, you have no presence in the box. “I think, again, every position requires a different analysis and qualities, but Gabby [Jesus] is not only to drop as well, he has many others like Viktor [Gyokeres] and Kai [Havertz].”

Arteta on the demands placed on midfielders to stop counter-attacks: Arteta: "That is the risk, but it also means that if they have one man free against our defence, we have an extra player somewhere else on the pitch. Against a deep block like that, we have to take that risk. We have defenders who can deal with that situation. "It's true that there were one, one or two situations on the pitch today where we had a bit of luck, but that is something we accept because we want to be dominant, and without that it isn't easy."

Arteta on the moment he believed it was going to happen: “It's been so many, probably I need a bit more time to reflect on that, and we have so many, so much footage that probably will explain the story of the season. “One of the main ones, it was a meeting that we had here next to the tree when I got all the players together and I told them, look at each other, look at the squad that we built over the summer. I think we are capable of everything and we can be very, very good. “That only depends on us and on our behaviours and everybody understanding the role that it's going to have daily or on the day. to give the best for the team. Once they realised that, I think we went to a different level, because you've seen the impact that everybody's had in different moments of games, through the season, and the capacity that we have shown to adapt to very, very tough circumstances throughout the season.”

Arteta: “Throughout this journey, we have made some massive steps, and we have accomplished a lot of things that, in my opinion, have a lot of value, but at the end of the day, we are here to win major trophies. “That was the ultimate goal, and we were very close. And in three occasions, we fell short at the end, and that was very painful. But I think that's what has driven all of us to find new ways to show what we are made of. That's what I said, the manner that we've done it, it makes it even better.”

Mikel Arteta, asked if he is satisfied with the current Arsenal squad as the window nears its close: "Today I'm satisfied, you know. And I hope that when it closes I am even more satisfied, because I will be even more convinced the team has had a great performance against Villa and win the game, and we are in the best possible scenario. It's the best squad that we have, or we believe that we could have, right now. And that's it."

🗣️ Mikel Arteta on Arsenal having “the best midfield in the world”: "It’s the best midfield for us, and that’s for sure. “That’s what we have to make it, that everybody complements the player next to them with their qualities. “We have this variability, this diversity with the qualities that we need in relation to the opponent. “Today again, you’ve seen it. We changed it and we brought other qualities in different moments of the game. “That’s a really, really strong thing to have.”

PRX alecks explains why Paper Rex chose LEVIATÁN as their first opponent: "We tried to pick a team that we think we will have the most fun with rather than someone that we wanted to beat" "That's pretty much what me and Ash [Wendler] talked about in the days leading up to this. We were trying to figure out why all the first seeds lose. For me, I'm not sure, but we tried to not overprepare. I think we tried to be as relaxed as we can. We came in and then we tried to pick a team that we think we will have the most fun with rather than someone that we wanted to beat. Sometimes when you feel as though you need to win the game, it gets a little bit more difficult. So everyone was ready and we were happy, and it allowed us to play our game a little bit better." #VALORANTMasters via Adrian of THESPIKE.GG

Jordi Fernandez’s response to Cam Thomas saying that the Nets "don't believe in nobody": “We wish Cam the best. We loved him while he was here. We hope that he does very well where he is. I don’t know if he has the right to speak about others. We’re happy with the guys we have here. I believe that everybody here can help us with what we have planned.”

Arteta: “We know what is at stake and the fact that, as a club, we haven't done it for so long is a reason for that. It talks about the difficulty but I just want to focus on the things that we can control, dominate, and we have done. “It's not that we have to do a lot of new things that we haven't done. No, no, no, let's keep doing a lot of it or almost all the things that we've done for nine months, because that's what has taken us all the way there. “On Wednesday, I saw a lot of them. And today we've gone back so we need to learn, we need to be very critical of ourselves, and then pick ourselves up because on Wednesday we have a big one coming up.”

. We are those #Fulanis who can never compromise our faith in Christ Jesus. We are out for the Gospel and the Gospel alone. We are out to propagate the Gospel of Christ Jesus. We are strictly out for souls winning. We are out to make sure that we bring as many souls as we can to Christ Jesus. We don't have time for an argument. We don't have time for debate. We don't have time for anything that will distract us from what God has called us to do for Him because if the devil can not destroy our faith, he can distract it. Propagating the Gospel of Christ Jesus is all that matters to us, and no one can stop it. If we live, is for Christ, if we die is a gain. Therefore, we are unstoppable. Keep praying for us. $Hasan says he and the left are winning and will win against establishment Democrats and that they won't forget who stood in the way of stopping Trump "We've been defeating them already..we have to not only defeat them but defeat them convincingly so that the rest of the country..the base of support for the Democrats never look at another establishment Democrat electability argument with a fraction of the credibility that it doesn't even f'in deserve ever again" "We know you've sold us out..we know that you had the opportunity to destroy the Trump regime, and in that moment, we remember what you did..we will not let them forget" "We will convince the masses that our message is resilient, it's resonant, it's powerful, it's good, and we will win. We don't have another option..we're nearing our brief spontaneous moment in civilization..how we move in this situation is very important bc it sets us up for..that once in a lifetime moment where we will have to seize..and we have to be as organized and as popular as we possibly can be in that moment"$

Arteta asked if the current team are better than the invincibles: “No, because Invincibles won a lot and they won consistently and they created a history and legacy and we have to do that. “Obviously there is a lot of stats, but in the last two or three years, as well, we had stats and more points and more goals and the history of that, but at the end we have to translate that into major trophies and what we want to do, and probably now what we are doing. “It would have been enough, but now it's not enough, and we have to make it the margins even bigger, and that's what we have to aim for.”

'We knew Orbán would not win the election' – Vance. 'One of the reasons we decided to support him was not that we don't know how to read polls. We certainly understood that there was a very high probability that Viktor would lose these elections. We did it because he is one of the few European leaders we have seen who was willing to stand up to the bureaucracy in Brussels, which has been very, very unfavorable to the United States. We did not go because we expected Viktor to easily win the election. We went because it was right to support a man who has long supported us. So it was not about Russia and, essentially, not about Europe. It was about the United States and the fact that he was a good partner – personally for me and for the president, but also for the US. I am sorry that he lost'. - SK

Arteta: “We came here to win the game. I think the message was clear from three days before. We prepared to do that, to take the game to the areas that we believed we could win it. We certainly did that, even though we started the game with a goal down and psychologically we had to play with that. We've done it. “So we proved that we are there, but the reality is in the two boxes today was a difference and that's what decided the game. The styles have been different for the profile of players that we have available as well in certain areas, but the difference was 100 per cent, yes.”
