I drove it some 2 years back, back to back after Taigun GT 1.5 AT where it came to be sold. I was thinking that how buy such a vehicle at 20 lakh but then I realised that it makes fine sense for the City use where it will return 16-18 kmpl easily unlike Turbo Engines. Will post an ownership review next month.

I am a Vitara Owner & would strictly advise users to Check the Blind Spot on Drivers Side on WindShield Door Pillar before buying. Compared to Honda CRV - the Blind Spot in Vitara is a Huge Disadvantage.

It’s sad to see Honda struggling despite offering the best-in-segment NA petrol engines, high-quality interiors, strong practicality, and tastefully executed physical touch buttons. However, the lack of a panoramic sunroof in the Elevate, no OEM CNG option in the Amaze, absence of a sub-4 meter SUV, and the missing diesel and hybrid options in the Elevate mean Honda is catering to a very limited audience. Market has become ruthless now! Brands need to have their A game to bring numbers.

They’re now positioning themselves as a lifestyle family car brand with models like the Hycross, Hilux, Fortuner, and Camry. The Innova Diesel is an exception. The market would benefit greatly if Toyota launched cars like the Yaris hatch or RAV4 under ₹22 lakh. So far, with the rebadged Maruti products, Toyota is only diluting its brand value just to keep dealers happy. It would’ve still been acceptable if only the Hyryder was launched as a rebadged Grand Vitara, not the Taisor & Glaza.

Oil technology has improved a lot & most modern fully synthetic oils such as 5W-30 can comfortably last up to 10,000 km in many petrol engines ( if the manufacturer recommends that interval.) However factoring in idling in traffic & short trips 8,000 or 9,000 km is a sweet spot. With the higher sulfur fuel in our country or if your engine has high mileage 7,500 km is good. A 5,000 km interval for a car recommended at 10,000 only makes sense if you use your car under very high rpms like offroad , towing or very dusty environments. Why it is not wise to spend your money on a Diesel as a primary car. If authorities will get irked with lesser sales & tax collections, Diesel cars will be the first one to be targeted. According to him, if the captain of the vessel ends up in Finnish prison for a long time, it will be much more difficult and/or expensive for Russia to convince captains of its shadow fleet to commit any sort of hybrid attacks. So Finland's swift reaction is actually contributing to security in Europe. Renault Duster will pose a serious threat to 1500 cc turbo Kushaq, Taigun, Seltos Turbo and somewhat European sedans too initially until Hybrid comes. Design is extremely tasteful, interiors quality is 8.5/10, screen & cockpit thing is tastefully done, has that macho yet classy appeal. But with an absence of Diesel, Naturally Aspirated and Hybrid (for now), it still targets a niche customer who look for driving dynamics & performance from a Turbo Engine. Hybrid upfront would have given this car a great momentum because it feels & looks better than Japanese cars in this segment. The only way to offset this absence of NA, Diesel, CNG & Hybrid is by pricing 1.3 Turbo extremely aggressively at around 12.80L something to 17.50L initially. It’s a near perfect package for someone driving 50:50 or 60:40 (city & highways) with segment best torque but that’s about it as a package of looks + features + dynamics + suspension + performance. We are still leaving out big chunk who look for 80:20 use. Once Hybrid will be there along with two turbo engines, Duster will surely get the numbers that brand is looking for. It will help Kiger slightly too. Exciting times ahead.

Maruti Brezza vs Honda City Under 15 Lakh In the 1.5L Naturally Aspirated Petrol segment, the Honda City and Elevate are the best products available in the market, yet highly underrated. With 6 airbags as standard, ADAS in the base AT variant, excellent comfort, and the smoothest engines, they offer great value. Cars under 4 meters are fine up to ₹13 lakh, or if you need a CNG option. However, once their price overlaps with a car that's over 4 meters, it's better to choose the larger car. Even if you lose some features, you might get significant discounts as well. That said, the Brezza is a good car too, but it should offer 6 airbags as standard. In my opinion, it's also slightly overpriced for the AT variants but yes, it is super reliable, cheap to maintain and has excellent resale value.
