Milton Friedman explains why our government keeps growing: “I don’t believe it’s true for a second that we have so much government because people have such demands upon government.” “We have so much government because once you get started in an area, it becomes a preserve of the people... show more

The party’s constituency-driven entitlement-based voter acquisition model.

Fact Check: The truth about socialism -

When there are people who are working at something, if their funds aren't limited they will always try to expand. CEOs get paid a lot because they have to figure out which areas of the company can be allowed to grow, and where cuts have to be made. Companies only have so much cash flow and they will go out of business if they aren't efficient. Government cannot go out of business or run out of money, so there needs to be a very strong hand to restrict growth and shrinking government is very hard. In the end, it's the voting public that has to make this happen. Politicians are all power and money hungry. They won't do it unless they see they will be kicked out of office. Trump is the only person I've seen that I'm pretty confident he's working only for the American people. I hope there are others that can continue his legacy in the future, and we need to whittle down those crooks already in office.

Same is true of unions and insurance companies.

Hysterical liberals like Bernie Sanders hate artificial intelligence because they know it will gut Big Government bureaucracies.

Friedman's logic explains our situation perfectly. Every office, every form, every approval process exists because someone's livelihood depends on it. The beneficiaries are organized. The costs are scattered. Reform dies.

@RepKeithSelf

Government grows like mold.

Milton Friedman is always and everywhere a nasty person

Simple

Human nature has not changed.

My Substack focus #sustainable prosperity where rising national #debt threatens long term #economic #sustainability Leadership must help public understand that #Tax rates must reflect cost government services demanded #econsky @gtwhitesides @AdamSchiff

Na, I think it’s because no growth if no increasing debt. The private sector can only do so much regarding debt

Yet, who is going to "police" the "Police?"

Parasitic Mind @gadsaad

Everything got faster — except uncertainty about the future. Our tolerance for waiting shrank. Indeterminacy didn't. We demand fast decisions exactly where time is the only thing that produces knowledge. Temporal Recalibration. Click the link:

Yo! Good to see ya.

Just like the Albanese guvmint.

Which is it? Are people lazy or are they unable to get to that first run of the ladder due to minimum wage?

I guess the Trump Administration sorta proves this theory...
