The phrasing is a bit deceptive, because "equal pay for equal work" means that they have the same productivity. What I think they mean to say is "equal pay for the same role", which if course is a bad idea.

Nobody deserves anything

This is the history of Lib/Dems in a nutshell. They desperately want to discriminate against someone, anyone, because it is their source of power. But if anyone exists who does not discriminate, then such discrimination becomes costly, so they enshrine discrimination into Law.

Trump heard Kamala made up a story about previously working at a McDonald's, so he decided to pick up a shift himself. We're lovin' it!

Their answer to this is quotas.

How brilliantly can you break this down? Wow, Dr. Friedman.

"Nobody deserves anything. Thank God we don't get what we deserve." 👏👏👏 I used to tell my buddy, "the only thing we deserve is death."

We desperately need to return to this model of working up the ladder (we refer to it as if it exists, but it doesn't) vs the bureaucratic modern "GM model of mgmt" of getting a "book smart" degree then swooping in and taking a job from someone who actually worked up in a company

"...reduce the cost of those who are discriminating for 𝐢𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐬." Oh boy he had those young activists figured out !

Equal pay for equal work takes away the only weapon available to the less-productive sex, which is to work for a lower wage. And if they're more productive, they are unable to earn what they're worth.

In a way I disagree with what he is saying - or at least, I believe he is couching his argument poorly - It always reverts to the basics of supply and demand. At the time, demand for female skills was low. Supply was high. Hence females (at the time) were paid less. By trying to manipulate the market, You actually create a worse situation. Where he is correct is that you must leave the market to correct itself. So, by being able to buy female skills at low prices and seeing the success , the demand will increase, pushing up prices, while reducing prices for similar male skills. Bearing in mind that the previous situation of removing women from the job market meant artificially high prices for males in the same market. The market will always correct itself - Simply removing the barriers (which are not desirable at all) and letting the market take care of itself will always be the fastest way of taking care of such issues. Equal rights we must absolutely carefully protect. Social engineering has been proven time and again to be a disaster.
