The Earth's atmosphere will absorb and scatter some of the laser energy, and so the laser would need to be in a wavelength range that minimizes this. The most effective wavelength would be in the near infrared range, which would allow better transmission through the atmosphere. Ve nearer infrared range would be invisible to the naked eye and would also have a minimal reaction with objects colored blue on the Earth's surface. The power of the laser would need to be in the hundreds of kilowatts range. If this five megawatt beam was pulsed across a one meter by one mile long area in segments, then the time to ignite the entire area would be roughly 2.7 minutes, and it would only take approximately 8.8 seconds to melt an aluminum alloy wheel. The amounts of energy required to pulse a 10 megawatt laser for 2.7 minutes would require approximately 3,220 capacitors, which would amount to about 32,200 kilograms in weight using MetLab software and plugging in public data provided from norad. He found that satellites launched and monitored by the C C P were directly above the Maui fires at the time of ignition. And more broadly, what are your two to three highest priority objectives over the next 18 months as you transition from what has primarily been an R&D and manufacturing story into a scaled revenue-generating operating company? Thank you. And for those who don't know us that well, we were founded about a decade ago around the direct-to-device opportunity. That's what we do. That's our entire strategy. It's from space, of course, and we build our own satellites, and we'll be operating them and selling capacity on them. But at its core, we are a direct-to-device pure play. And over the years, I met our founder in January 2019, but over the years, telling our equity story, people always asked three questions. Does it work? Can you fund it? And how big will the market be, or will there be a market? And that's our traditional private company questions that we still got even as a public company for a while, and we really retired those risks in 2023, 2024, and 2025. And so this year, yeah, you're exactly right. Traditional growth stuff, scaling stuff is where we are. And for us, if I were to say two simple things, one is network deployment. The vast majority of the folks in the company are focused on exactly that, network deployment now for revenue in 2026 and 2027 and beyond. And then the second one is, I think, building the market out in the right way. This is a brand new service. It's a service that is at the very heart of connectivity. Remember, we all know the trends in connectivity. When I started my career in connectivity, there was a question, bubble, what inning are we in? When is the expansion going to end? And then, of course, AI comes along, and there's always something every couple of years. So for us, we're at the heart of connectivity. We can do coverage better than any terrestrial footprint by its very nature. And making connectivity work for our partners, the mobile network operators, and ultimately for the consumer mass market among other markets, is our focus. So building out that market is our second priority. Great. And let's address the news from last week. AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile announced a proposed joint venture to extend mobile connectivity using satellite-based D2D technologies. You guys put out a statement commending the announcement. Unpack this for us. What does this mean for ASTS in practice? Does it change your commercial positioning with the carriers? Does it accelerate or maybe even complicate your path to service? So we really value the carrier relationship. We've organized the business, the technology, the go-to-market strategy. Everything we do, really, is about making connectivity better for the mobile network operators. And so you see that in where we've prioritized the company over the years. Masquerade now hangs in The Toledo Museum of Art. But unlike a painting, Masquerade holds within itself: a gathering of people in the network and systems to connect us. The piece is not "A" piece. It is every Mask, every dot, every observation made and, through a new layer, every one yet to be made. I feel both stupidly lucky and genuinely honored to bring everyone who has given energy to Luci out of the network and into a place that has honored my work and the work of so many other artists I deeply admire with immense and precise care. This absurd world of masks and monkeys I love so much because of what has been shared between people through it has had my love compound through the care of people. To help to protect and preserve a story bigger than my own, not unlike what has taken place atop its surface. Much as the systems of participation echoed the systems of its creation, so too does its curation and cultivation by others help it grow. Masquerade now hangs in a museum, but it hangs alongside a cadre of digital art's giants in an exhibition titled “Infinite Images,” which sits centered inside a museum filled with the giants of art history itself. For this to happen requires a lattice frequency of care: not as a feeling, but as something intensely actionable. Care—demonstrated through sacrifice and skin in the game. It pours out of the dark blue diamond walls and the work atop them and into our orange room; it bleeds from every installation, overflowing from each and every artist, and the space between each of us within. Care is revealed through a curator who helped me understand my own work more but also learn what connects me backwards to the shoulders I stand on. Julia Kaganskiy 🇺🇦 found and presented our systems not as separate worlds, but as part of one system of life—all while bringing into life of a higher order: her first child. Care extended through a director, Adam Levine, who pushed for something quite radical and got his hands dirty to allow this show to even exist. The Museum and the people who keep its engine moving treated our new as sacred as their old. They did so not to onboard, but to remain. A portal that lifts up a movement happening in the network by seeing the need to connect our nodes rather than relegate or shut the gate behind. Doing this required the patronage of Alan Howard, channeled through the cataloging brilliance of Martina Negro, and the willingness of high‑order patronage to become a cooperative network rather than an adversarial one. In that cooperation is where Masquerade’s place in the exhibition came through Kanbas. A throughline drawn between the roles of our ecosystem. Of what can be built between us if we see each other as one ecosystem, both different and essential. An exhibition filled with cutting‑edge technology and masterful presentation does not exist with only artists or curators or museums; it is enabled through a network of generous patronage and curiosity. Kanbas helped me take what began as the orange room with a digital confessional that is Rachel and I’s studio in New York, that last year became The Monument Game boat‑dock exhibition in Venice, Italy through the genius of ScriptedFantasy and support of Ryan Zurrer, and evolve it to sit in a Museum in a way that does not just exhibit the work, but educates and invites people to come closer who may not know any of this even exists. Rather than just house the singular work, Kanbas and Amanda cared to share the network of 613 Masks and the people who wear them with it. Care came through my team who built Masquerade with me in Nifty Gateway Studio. Chrisly, Ashlin, Bob, Nirali, Tara, and all who pitched in make our interface and systems accessible to a whole new audience; to build infrastructure and enable thousands of people who have never touched the blockchain to create a wallet just by leaving an Observation atop the Masquerade is more than a feature: it is spreading the network rather than closing its gates. I feel so lucky to have such a tremendous team of people to think not as a marketplace, but as stewards to present what we have been building well and improve it with time and circumstance. This patronage enabled artistry within artistry to thrive, through a masterful exhibition design led by Richard The, technology and fabrication partners through TCI in Greg and Anthony, Jack with projections, and fabricators through Bednark. With me is my brilliant engineer, Alex Borre, who has broken apart all of this alongside me and helped me grow as an artist. By my side has been joeyL.eth, the eternal vibe check of taste, restraint, and precision - the finest eye and mind I know, and the relentless, perpetual support of El Barba Roja blue check who championed and willed this exhibition into existence more than anyone. No matter how much “this is how we build” has looped and human‑centipeded in on itself through cynical interpretations, in this case, it truly is, and his hands are all over not just my contribution, but many others in this show, as well as in the exhibition’s foundation itself. But in the end: care has been given in the highest order by my wife Rachel Spratt who has done what all new great mothers do and given life through tremendous exertion. We did not take a break after Masquerade, because it just immediately became Masquerade IRL. She has given to me, given to our daughter Syla, given to our tribe of Masks and Skulls, to this exhibition: everything. What is left after one gives all away, no matter how sweetly, can be a hollowing of self or, if met well before a break, a shedding of self. To sit in this beautiful room together, within an exhibition this magnificent, inside a building this rich with history and love of humanity, and have so much care be put in to match hers by this network around us on and offline, I got to sit in pride because I knew this very real moment for me, that began so alone and has become quite collective, would simply, unequivocally, never even come close to existing without her. So much of my life has been defined by solitude. I was not expecting having my work presented like this to move me so much. I thought it would be more of a feather in the cap or rather beautiful box to check. But it isn't that at all. It's connection to others. I fell in love with the artists' work that sits alongside my own. I saw Dmitri Cherniak's Ringers I’ve seen a thousand times, but saw them again in a way my daughter could visualize her own curiosity about the world—decisions in how these were shared served a higher purpose: to communicate. I saw Casey REAS as someone not just as a pioneer, but as someone more real—who, like my wife, cut part of himself out and set it aside to see what others could create. I saw Operator not as slick performers of the code, but as arbiters of freedom. I saw invitations to see the humanity in code in dozens of directions, and gratitude to sit even close to any of it. Talent. Sweat. Blood. Skin in the game. The artists pushed. The fabricators pushed. The docents pushed. Not one of us is like the other and no template was ever to be made to try to force otherwise. On September 12th, I will be inviting every holder of Luci: Masks, Players, Council, to come out to a small town in Ohio and leave a bit of themselves behind and get a very deep look into the world I am trying to build in the process. More on that very soon, but should you be able to come, know that there is much to care about beyond what I’ve built within this exhibition—and I hope you will fall in love with the rest of these infinite worlds as I have. Because she's not touching a world of divine objects susceptible to fingerprints and pretense; she's touching a display. A front‑end stand‑in representation for the network of humanity underneath. A place where light, code, instructions, a design that rhymes across all things has formed a very unlikely but very real gathering of strangers over the last few years to create together. Here is some videos of the larger craft from 12-4-2024 and some of the UFO Spheres from 12-3-2024. The Spheres have been here every night this week. They have been down low by the house like normal but we have seen many of them flying all around the area very fast. They will blink very fast or keep the plasma field on but at a lower brightness than when they are just hovering beside the house. On 12-4-2024 we were watching the Spheres flying all around then we saw the larger UFO appear after a helicopter circled the area. It stayed beside the house for over an hour only moving about 800 meters in that amount of time. It was under 1000 feet in altitude and bigger than C-17 aircraft. It looked saucer shaped but wider in the center and tapered around the edges. It was showing up very hot on the thermal camera even though no visible light at all was coming from it. The Spheres showed up cold on the thermal camera when the plasma field was not glowing when we filmed them closer up before. This larger craft had the plasma field around it just like the Spheres but it was not glowing. We could not see the craft with our naked eyes or on the starlight camera or IR cameras. Only the thermal camera would pick it up. Can see how the air around it is shimmering and can see the field around it. It looked better in person but what I filmed is important because you all will see this again on some daytime close up videos! I have watched these craft up close many times and they have this plasma field around them and even when its not glowing its there. In the daytime you can see the air shimmering around the craft very good. We have seen them use this to bend the light around the craft someway and turn the craft almost completely invisible but you could still see the air shimmering around the craft. I had some cheap starlight cameras that would pick the larger crafts up when the Spheres were beside them glowing and the larger craft was almost invisible. The glow from the Spheres plasma would outline were the larger craft was and we could see it on those starlight cameras. We had a handheld digital starlight camera when this craft was over us and it would not pick it up at all. During the close encounter on 11-8-2012 there were many of the Spheres and two larger U shaped craft that the Beings came out of. On 2-16-2023 there was a larger craft here that was over 300 meters long and is the biggest craft we have seen the Spheres with. Then we saw this craft that we have seen before a few times including in the daytime. The Spheres have been with each of the larger craft every time. The Spheres act like they guard and protect the larger craft each time they are around. Sometimes they stay very close to them and on 2-16-2023 some of the Spheres were going in the bottom of the giant craft or attaching to the bottom of it and there was an electrical charge or something that would go all around the larger craft when the Spheres attached or went into it. When this larger craft on the 4th was sitting there we saw several of the Spheres flying around really fast with the plasma field on a constant low glow. We have seen them doing this all around the area this whole week. The other ones were down low beside the house and that's were they normally stay close to when they show themselves. I'm not sure what the ones flying all around were doing. Its really different activity the way they were acting. Monday there were so many doing this in every direction we could not count them all. It had to be in the hundreds. We watch the radars also and watch all the aircraft around us during these events and none of the craft we were seeing shows on any public radar sites. The military radar site does not show them either. Monday there was a large increase in commercial fights and some of these aircraft had to see all the smaller craft flying around really fast. Some had the plasma glowing constant but many had it flashing really fast. Way faster than the navigation lights of regular aircraft. Many of the so called drones being seen around the world and in America the last few weeks are these craft and there are some videos going around from New Jersey that shows these craft but some are showing something that looks more man made. On the ones that look more man made there has been sound that sounds like jet engines on many I have seen. The craft here make ZERO sound most of the time! We have only heard a few very strange sounds come from them over the years. One sound sounded like a giant transformer humming during the close encounter on 11-8-2012 and on 2-16-2023 we heard what sounded like very loud trumpets come from the sky! We were not the only ones that heard that. People up the road that can not see this area and that knows nothing about what's going on here told us they heard the trumpet sounds and thought it was the end of the world and told us they started praying! They also told us they saw a light floating through the trees back toward our land. There has been some other strange sounds also and something really strange is in the summer time there are hundreds of thousand of frogs in the swamps around our land when its raining more and when the UFOs show up all the frogs will stop singing at one time. This is on some of the videos I have. When you are out there beside the swamps and there are that many frogs singing then they all stop at one time its very strange! Its not just the frogs, all the animals and insects seem like they stop. Sometimes they do it right before the plasma field turns on and sometimes right after. Two of my male dogs would go crazy also right before the UFOs show themselves. I have other dogs but those two were super sensitive to whatever was coming from the UFOs. I think they all are hearing something from the UFOs that we cant hear or they are feeling what I feel from them when they are closer to me. Here is some videos of the larger craft from 12-4-2024 and some of the UFO Spheres from 12-3-2024. The Spheres have been here every night this week. They have been down low by the house like normal but we have seen many of them flying all around the area very fast. They will blink very fast or keep the plasma field on but at a lower brightness than when they are just hovering beside the house. On 12-4-2024 we were watching the Spheres flying all around then we saw the larger UFO appear after a helicopter circled the area. It stayed beside the house for over an hour only moving about 800 meters in that amount of time. It was under 1000 feet in altitude and bigger than C-17 aircraft. It looked saucer shaped but wider in the center and tapered around the edges. It was showing up very hot on the thermal camera even though no visible light at all was coming from it. The Spheres showed up cold on the thermal camera when the plasma field was not glowing when we filmed them closer up before. This larger craft had the plasma field around it just like the Spheres but it was not glowing. We could not see the craft with our naked eyes or on the starlight camera or IR cameras. Only the thermal camera would pick it up. Can see how the air around it is shimmering and can see the field around it. It looked better in person but what I filmed is important because you all will see this again on some daytime close up videos! I have watched these craft up close many times and they have this plasma field around them and even when its not glowing its there. (long post on going from pre-product to post-product as a founder) We're swiftly approaching launch, so I thought I'd take some time to reflect. The accompanying video is of the first graphical implementation of Onflow (on Android) for a demo we did at Devcon. Barebones (a bit rough around the edges compared to today's visuals) from exactly a year ago. Onflow might prove to be the most complex protocol engineered thus far within the ZK/MPC/privacy space. ~2 years of work, 13 employees, expertise, refining, rebuilding, consulting, re-writing, auditing, novel research in MPC and ZK constructions. What goes into what we're building? First I'll outline what the scope for the initial release of Onflow is (skip to next section if this isn't interesting to you): - Be an SDK, not a standalone monolith. While we do have Onflow ID (our Onflow implementation), we never want Onflow to be centralized around 1 app. This also makes our user-by-default system so much more stronger in garnering network effects. If you've used Onflow even once, as soon as you open another app a few months later that requires compliance, you'll be pleasantly surprised to find that the magic of the protocol has auto-submitted exactly what the service provider is looking for and there is no-to-little user interaction required on your end. - Privacy, privacy, privacy. My background, and a 90% of the development team at Sundial has a solid background in complex privacy schemes, zero-knowledge, academia and practical implementations. We believe compliance/KYC breaches are some of the most dangerous (both physically and virtually) data leaks that can occur, and so Onflow was built to be virtually impossible to leak any meaningful data from, even if you're delegating work to overseas staff, due to how data is stealth-schematized so support agents only see *exactly* what they need to solve your case, and nothing else. - Privacy, again. So what does privacy entail? Well. For Onflow we're utilizing so many new primitives in one, that all come from different departments. From the zero-trust infrastructure for our compliance dashboard, our never-before-seen quantum-resistant QuantMQ data dispatch protocol that is pervasive throughout the entire Onflow ecosystem, to complex routers for oracling and verifying proofs onchain (EVM and SVM initially, as recently announced). We also have our TDE, or "Trusted Data Enclave", which allows you to easily port your credentials to a new device, whether it be your laptop, or another phone, it'll all get transferred over seamlessly through a bespoke mesh-based distribution system (think Signal-type), again through QuantMQ tunnels. Now the true beauty of all of this? Some of the most senior software engineers, protocol engineers, system administrators, applied (& research) cryptographers alongside amazing visual artists, and our incredible CPO (ex-Disney, Apple, AOL and many more) all worked on their individual bits of the protocol. All with a shared love, and deep respect for privacy and great UX, came together to build the behemoth that is the inner workings of Onflow and distill it down to an SDK that takes just a dozen lines to implement, whether in an app, on a website, or in a cryptocurrency setting. One simple SDK that encapsulates hundreds of bespoke, novel and battle-tested MPC, ZK, QP protocols, and productized it into something that will make onboarding and compliance in general a one-click action going forward (for the most part), and will only be more and more normalized as more and more apps adopt this. Who is interested in using Onflow? We're very fortunate to have an exceptional product, which traditional finance, fintech and digital assets immediately recognize the importance of. Therefore, we're proud to announce that alongside our joint announcement with our day-1 deployment to Circle's Arc network, we're also entering traditional finance. Soon, users will be able to create bank accounts for short-stay overseas work solely using Onflow. We're actually surprised at the extremely positive reception from traditional finance, as you can quickly convince yourself words like "zero-knowledge" will scare what's often seen as arcane institutions, but our experience has been the polar opposite. Banks understand the importance of privacy. Banks understands utilizing privacy-enhancing tools to make the onboarding UX more convenient, and save them money and risk assessment staff when it comes to compliance. What's coming up? More privacy, more convenience. Soon you'll be introduced to the full product offerings of our initial release of Onflow. We plan to open-source every part of the stack that we're able to and provides a benefit to proliferating privacy online (such as our QuantumMQ library with bindings for C++, Rust, C#, Swift and Typescript). We plan to prove that all of the hundreds of millions, if not billions of dollars spent on solid cryptographic, privacy-oriented research has not gone in vain, and we've employed and improved upon under-explored breakthroughs to make Onflow happen. What took you so long? Perfect is the enemy of (progress/good/etc.), however, being a product that de-risks businesses and transmits PII (even over quantum-proof tunnels) still require extreme rigor and a lot of systems and novel infrastructure to make sure that there is no central breach point. Version one of Onflow will support 147 jurisdictions, and we soon plan to add support for Aadhar 2.0 as well, to include India (even though they just got biometric passports, they're not as ubiquitous). We support thousands of passports and IDs and have the most comprehensive coverage out of any compliance provider with over 15,000 documents covered. Novel things take time. Onflow is truly a novel, never-before-seen approach to the full compliance stack, with inherent digital ID features as an essential part of the protocol, giving it endless possibilities. We wanted to make extremely sure that what we're releasing here in a couple of months is as solid as can be, and will offer hefty bounties to people who can successfully find a way to disrupt the protocol (one can never do too much manual review, fuzzing, external audits, etc., and we firmly believe in rewarding solo auditors for findings). Lastly. Thank you to everyone building in, researching, contributing to or otherwise promoting, privacy. Privacy is not reliant on financial turmoil, it is the first question a start-up should ask itself when making a new product class. And we're super fortunate to say that in the difficulties of navigating novel privacy, we've found extremely satisfying solutions to extremely complex problems we otherwise never would've discovered.
