An excerpt from my new book 'Breaking Point': " On December 30, both of us realised just how traumatised we were when we visited Labadi Beach to hang out. We spotted a lady selling jollof rice, and we decided to get some jollof and chicken. The lady had a little daughter who couldn’t have been more than 4 years old. While waiting for our food a little distance away from them, we spotted 2 Ghanaian policemen walking up the beach toward us, dressed in black and holding AK-47s, just like their Nigerian counterparts. Ralph and I beckoned at the little girl who was playing near us, telling her to see who was coming. Instinctively, we felt a need to warn the innocent little soul that danger was coming, and she should run to her mom for protection. Instead, the little girl looked up, saw the policemen, and skipped joyfully toward them, utterly unafraid and screeching in delight with her full set of milk teeth showing, “Police! Police! Police!” The policemen on their part calmly acknowledged her, returned her smile, and even stopped to play with her for a few moments before continuing on their way. Not a single word was said at that moment, but when Ralph and I looked at each other with our mouths open in utter amazement, nothing needed to be said. It turned out that being mortally terrified of police to the point of using them to scare young children was a uniquely Nigerian experience - one that we were both completely, hopelessly, and maybe permanently marinated in. The Becker Schools in Minnesota released a statement about the incident where a teacher politically berated one of her students for not agreeing with her political gaslighting. Thankfully, the incident was filmed so it wouldn’t become a ‘he said/she said’ situation that the school system would sweep under the rug. But hey … they may still do just that. In a statement made by the school … Dr Jeremy Schmidt said a lot of contradictory things, while clearing up nothing. “We are maintaining a safe, structured learning environment (blah blah blah) …” —- make that make sense … how is it safe for a student when a teacher SHUTS THEM DOWN for having a different view or opinion than the teachers?! Is that considered part of their ‘structured learning environment’?! No one ever asked the school to PUNISH their entire community of teachers … WeThePeople simply asked that the particular teacher in question be suspended or fired for not providing a safe and respectful environment for her students. As far as ‘truth-seeking’ … she is on video, those are her words and actions … you can’t get anymore truthful than that. So don’t call our eyes or ears deceitful. Without those of us on social media bringing situations like this to the forefront … our schools will continue to get away with indoctrination and we parents are sick of it. All we ask is that our kids be taught: reading, writing, math, real science (not the ‘because I feel’ science), real history (not revisionist history to fit a narrative), civics and respect for our country. Leave activism, teacher’s opinions, teacher’s private life choices OUT OF OUR SCHOOLS. Even professors, from the mostly leftist universities, are beginning to complain that students entering college now can’t even read or have a basic understanding of things. THAT is the failure of our current education system and their activist staff!

My last case of 2025 and my first case of 2026 tell you everything you need to know about our healthcare system. Last week, I was scheduled to do a DIEP flap for a patient who had been waiting a long time. We had asked her insurance company if we could do the surgery in network at @Redbudsurgerycenter, where we have everything needed to safely and efficiently take care of her. They hadn’t approved that, so the surgery had to be scheduled at an older hospital in town. When we arrived, the hospital was having HVAC issues. The humidity levels were not safe for surgery. We waited for hours, and ultimately the case had to be canceled. It wasn’t just her surgery. Multiple surgeries were canceled that day because operating under those conditions would have been a fire risk. We weren’t able to reschedule her surgery before the end of the year, which means her deductible resets. I could have safely done her surgery at Redbud that day but insurance rules wouldn’t allow it. This is what closed networks and rigid systems look like in real life. Now here’s the contrast. The first case I’m doing in 2026 is also a woman who needs breast reconstruction with DIEP flaps. This time, instead of traditional insurance, her employer uses a third party administrator. They came to me directly and asked what I would charge if they paid fairly and transparently. On Monday, we’re doing her bilateral DIEP flap at @Redbudsurgerycenter. I can control the environment, the costs, and the care. It’s better for the patient and significantly less expensive for the employer. This is called Direct Specialty Care. It’s not direct primary care. It’s specialty care delivered without unnecessary barriers. It’s happening. We’re starting the year this way. And I’m going to keep pushing the boundaries and keeping you informed.

I'm thinking about all of their pain and how their lives are being destroyed right in front of us. I'm also thinking about Minnesota, and everyone back at home, who is living in so much fear... and searching for answers of what we all should do. When entire communities, loose their sense of safety and belonging, it breaks something in all of us. I hope that you'll all stand with us tonight. I know we are not in America right now, but we are with our community, and we love you. It has been sad the level of attacks and attempts to be-little what ProffittHarsad Community and dev Team had built and had to endure in order to contribute a solution and a product for everyone. To the small island who once ruled the world… come the men who do. 24 years ago, Nike released this advert. It’s trending on social media again. I watched it this morning and it made me cry. I bumped into a neighbour yesterday who has lived in South Africa for 5 years and we were talking about the upcoming game. She’s heading down to our Clubhouse to watch it… as most of us are. And she was telling me how excited she is for South Africa. She’s originally from America but will be wearing her Green and Gold tonight. We started talking about the heart of rugby in our country. You see, the Bokke don’t just play a sport, they play with everything they have. They play for every single South African. They play to remind us who we are. And they play to show us who we can be. My neighbour said, “There is no other nation that does that. It’s so beautiful.” She ignited a core memory in me. It was 1995. The Rugby World Cup was the first major sporting event to take place in South Africa following the end of apartheid. We were the hosts. It was also the first World Cup in which we were allowed to compete. I was sitting on the floor with my brother and sister watching. My folks were on the couch. There was this intense feeling of trepidation. We needed to win. Our country needed to win. “But how do you remember that? You must have been so young?” My neighbour asked. Because it was the first time we felt like one nation. Undivided. It was the first time our country was standing behind a new president and a new flag - together. Nelson Mandela made us believe that we were the rainbow nation. He gave us hope that as a country, we could become more than what we were before. We could rewrite our history. I never thought I’d talk about this. Honestly, I still don’t know if I’m ready. But saying something—even a fragment—feels like a massive exhale after holding my breath for years. I know people will be frustrated that we didn’t say more. I get it. Believe me, I do. For me, speaking about this isn’t about rehashing the past—it’s about reclaiming my voice. Over the last couple of years, people have continued to assume that I still stand with things and people I absolutely don’t. I’ve stayed quiet because I didn’t want to feed the chaos, and I wanted to keep the people I love safe. But silence can start to sound like consent, and that’s something I can’t live with anymore. It’s my belief, based on disturbing personal experience, that most of what passes for “the field of ufology” is theater. That’s why I backed away. What Jay and I went through in the fall of 2023 taught me that the closer you get to the machinery of institutional secrecy, the further you get from the truth. It’s a distraction—a laser pointer that keeps us chasing shadows like house cats while the real thing stands right beside us. The phenomenon can’t be hidden. It’s alive in us—in the human and the real. The only hope that system has is to manipulate us so badly that we stop trusting what we see, what we feel, what we know. I’m done giving it that power.
