hi this is getting notes so here’s a comic that took me over 10 minutes and isn’t for kids

im confused is this about consent

It's very cool and good for kids to understand, but i think the tiny problem is that wolves *do* need to eat others, it's essential for their existence so part of the methaphor gets lost.

yes but its a little comic for K-5 kids and the wolf probably shouldn’t try to emotionally manipulate the rabbit into being a meal

The punchline at the end made me laugh a bit.

I swear, there’s a children’s book that has a similar story to this. Not the exact same premise but something about convincing animals to eat them or not eat them or something

possibly “that is NOT a good idea!” by Mo Willems? I may have taken some inspiration from that one

Oh this is EXCELLENT!! I love this kind of stuff, it's nice to be reminded comics don't have to be multiple volumes long/super elaborate in order to be good and effective :)

Yes absolutely! This was made as an example for our “zine zone” shelf, which encourages comic making and story-sharing! ^_^<3

Working in the field, it would help so much to teach the kids how to say no to things they don't want happening to them. You'll be surprised how much they just let it happen till the point of injury. Had a kid stick his finger in another's mouth. When asked why, he laughed. 🤦🏻‍♀️

It reminds me of this book, but instead of just telling you the consequence, your book also gives the solution, don't be too nice cuz it's like sugar that attracts ants

i dont think its a great example of the importance of consent and how to say no because the wolf(?) literally needs to eat to live. its like if a kid was denied food by everyone around them because they didnt want to pay for it.
