They built confidence, taught responsibility and provided the experience needed to get on. Now, Government decisions are making those opportunities harder to find. Young people are paying the price. The Government cannot keep looking at each decision in isolation while ignoring the cumulative damage it is doing to jobs, businesses and economic growth. The Labour Government has done enough damage. It needs to think again.

Meanwhile, Canadian kids can’t find jobs, and instead of fixing that, Tim Hortons went to Ottawa asking for permission to replace them. In a May 27, 2024, lobbying letter to then immigration minister Marc Miller, Tim Hortons admits: “without international workers and international students... business would struggle immensely.” Then comes the ask: raise the Temporary Foreign Worker cap from 20% to 30%. That’s nearly one in three workers not being Canadian — but they didn’t stop there. The company also pushed for a dedicated food service immigration stream with a pathway to permanent residency, locking in a permanent replacement workforce. At the same time, they want international students working up to 30 hours a week — hours that used to belong to Canadian teenagers trying to get their first job. And here’s the most infuriating part: Tim Hortons openly admits these jobs matter. They say these jobs help “develop a wide range of skills and build promising careers” and serve as “a stepping stone to integrate into our country.” Exactly. That’s why those jobs used to go to Canadian kids. Instead, youth unemployment is climbing, with nearly one in five young Canadians struggling to find work. At my second rally today, I moved from Nansana to Kawempe with Maama and the NRM leadership. I explained clearly where wealth and jobs come from: commercial agriculture, factories, artisans and services. I cautioned the youth against chasing illusions abroad. Real wealth is built where there is production. Even maize when grown on a large scale, creates jobs in growing, processing and trading. That is why, since 1997, we have focused on affordable capital to help Ugandans participate. This is the correct path to jobs and prosperity. I therefore urge our people in Kawempe to come out on the 15th January and vote for the NRM.

This is for all the people in the arena ( your life, your career, your family ) who are doing it for them .. not for the validation of the crowd One of the great issues in our society right now is that people live their lives for outside validation, for the clicks, for the likes, for the followers, for the comments. This isn't just in social media. This is happening in the analog and real world too. Too many people are keeping up with the Joneses and worried about what people think about them. They worry about what people think about how much money they have, what school they go to, or even worse, what school their kids go to, and on and on and on … I will continue to make content with the hope it breaks someone out of the hamster wheel and that’s that ❤️❤️❤️❤️

These two guys were on their way to their fishing spot. They came to a stop sign at the same time as this bicyclist and blew through his stop sign and didn’t stop. When the men passed him they yelled at him for not stopping. So this guy followed them to their fishing spot. The two men exchange pleasantries and the guy on the bike tells them he never stops and they shouldn’t be yelling at him or anyone. The one man tells him he is just like everyone else and he has to obey the traffic laws. At one point the guy on the bike tells the two men he can take them both in a fight. The one man walks off to go fishing. 😳 The guy on the bike does not have the right of way. Bicyclists are like automobiles and must follow all traffic laws. Biker fatigue is real. 💯 So who do you side with? Who is the real moron? 🤔

In this video, two guys openly threaten to “r*pe”, “gas chamber”, and “kill” a random Jewish girl over video. The other day a random guy threw coins and yelled “fuck the Jews” at Dave Portnoy during a live pizza review. Neither of them have anything to do with Israel. This isn’t about the Gaza war or Israel’s government. These are the type of messages that many of us get on online posts but that now bigots feel emboldened to also out their face to and say in real life. The internet isn’t real life, but this stuff is intentionally being normalized and brought to real life because there are no social consequences to it anymore. Hate speech is allowed under the first amendment, but that doesn’t mean that people shouldn’t ostracize and disassociate from those who engage in open hate. In fact, that’s the only way free speech really works. What we are witnessing is the cost of normalizing people like Nick Fuentes. It is what Candace Owens has spent 2 years trying to accomplish with daily conspiracies about Jews. And it’s going to keep getting worse. This isn’t some online fight and it’s not just about Jews. Because once you mainstream this stuff, it causes a moral corrosion and societal destruction that will target way more than just Jews. It’s about what kind of country we leave for our kids. We know what happens next. The time to stand up to it is now.

These are the kinds of things the government is supposed to put on the Island first because that is where everybody will know such things exist. Ikeja people especially don't have time; they just want to go to work or their businesses and go home. They don't have time for the fast life or showing off. 😭 Despite their wealth, they keep quiet. No matter what the government puts on the Mainland, many Mainland people don't have time to show it off. So the government should please focus more on the Island because that is where city noise emanates from. That is where anything you do will be amplified immediately. Just saying.😁

I feel for the young people of today looking at buying a house. In my day, it was about 3x the average wage to purchase a home. In some places now, its 15x wages. While patients wait years for surgery and weeks to see their GP, doctors in England are facing unemployment. This year, 40,000 doctors applied for just 10,000 NHS training jobs. Without these jobs, doctors cannot progress to become Consultants or GPs. This is not an accident. The Government has capped training posts, forcing qualified doctors into unemployment or out of the NHS altogether. The science of climate change is not just a dinner table conversation. It's about the people and places we love. I'm concerned the government is approving new fossil fuel projects against advice from scientists and expert bodies when we have enough gas for the transition and countries like Japan are now exporting more gas than we send them. Why is the govt turning a blind eye to trading partners on-selling our gas at a profit while 🇦🇺 households + businesses pay record prices for our own gas?! We don't have a gas shortage, we have a gas export problem. The solution is to redirect all uncontracted gas to the domestic market.
