ICE claims they took 5 year old Liam Ramos to “protect” him. Yet multiple witnesses report the child was used as bait. A community member offered to take Liam in and ICE detained him anyways. You can’t “detain” a 5 year old It’s kidnapping. Liam is already in Texas.

ICE used 5-year-old Liam Ramos as bait. Agents detained him, used him to lure people out of a house, then sent him to a detention center in Texas. That is indefensible. Trump’s mass deportation machine is out of control. How many children is ICE doing this to? We need an investigation, now.

BREAKING: Another blatant lie by the Trump WhiteHouse! After the WH and Homeland security made the claim that 5-year-old preschool student, Liam Ramos, who was detained, was abandoned by his father, Columbia Heights school officials, and the family’s attorney tell a different story. Liam’s father was detained and agents used Liam to try and bait the mother out of her home. The three of them were in America legally, in this asylum process. No one was abandoned. ICE kidnapped the father and used Liam as bait.

Five-year-old Liam Conejo Ramos’ detention by ICE in Minnesota captured the world’s attention earlier this year. In his first interview, Liam told Camilo Montoya-Galvez his biggest fear is being detained by ICE again. While Liam and his father were ordered released from ICE custody, his parents worry about the government’s continued efforts to deport the family to their native Ecuador, as well as the mental health of their son, who’s now seeing a psychologist. The Trump administration recently terminated the family’s asylum case and is asking a federal court to allow ICE to re-detain them, saying that they’re in the U.S. illegally.

5 year old Liam Ramos and his father will both be freed from ICE detention thanks to a ruling by a US District Judge. Little Liam was used as bait and then locked up where his health has declined. I hope they give him back his bunny hat. Next step… free all the children!

Five-year-old Liam Conejo Ramos, the boy whose ICE detention in Minnesota sparked global outrage after he was taken away wearing a blue bunny hat and carrying his school backpack, is still living with the trauma, his parents told CBS News' Camilo Montoya-Galvez in an exclusive interview. More than two months later, they say Liam is no longer the same child: He’s afraid to go outside, asks if police are ICE, and worries they will “take me away again.” His parents say he is now getting support, but fear the emotional scars from his time in detention may not heal quickly.

Reporter: 5-year-old Liam Conejo Ramos was heading home from preschool with his father. According to the eyewitnesses, his father was detained for being an undocumented immigrant, at which point the ICE agents detained the 5-year-old. When an adult who lived in the household offered to take care of him, the ICE agent refused that offer and instead took Ramos to the door of his family home and used him as bait to try to lure more family members out.
