Instructions for syncing Replit with Cursor This looks like a lot but it takes 3 minutes once you get it down. HUGE shout out to @anshnanda_ for showing me how to do this. Open Repl or Create with our Template Go to Cursor - Click Terminal - Click CMD K - Type "Generate an SSH Key For Replit, name it Replit, and copy the public key to the clipboard" - if prompted to overwrite put "y", then enter - it'll prompt about passphrase, just press enter - it'll prompt about passphrase again, just press enter - this automatically copies the ssh key to clipboard Go to Replit - plus sign (new tab) and type SSH - go to SSH panel - Click Keys - Add SSH Key - Give it Label (doesn't matter what you call it) - Paste in that code from cursor that was automatically added to your clipboard in previous process. Should be a fat chunk of text. (If its smaller, you didn't specify the public key) - Go to connect tab in same panel - Copy the Shell command Go Back to Cursor - Open with SSH - Paste that shell command on top - Click Add new SSH Host - Paste the command again - Enter - Click the first option that pops up - Bottom Right of screen click connect - Click Continue - Open Folder - Click name of Replit Project (Repl) If you are using the template just set up firebase as I do quickly and you are set up with database authentication and storage.

My top 3 in voting was 1. cs_alpine 2. de_golden 3. de_warden This is Golden; a very interesting layout that takes a little getting used to, hence me dying a lot at the start of this playtest but it gets better. This is the map I want to play the most due to the layout. This contest had a number of daring and unique layouts (contact is also worth a look); for me this one was the most intriguing and perhaps offers something new to CS2 . Perhaps Overpass stans will get the mental juices flowing on this map. Maps like these offer something new and challenging to CS, beyond the tried and tested layout formula that we are all familiar with. When CS2 add new community maps in updates, I think a video should accompany the changes with fly-throughs and some words on the type of map it is to encourage people to test the waters of these new maps and potentially shape the future of the active duty map pool.

Just read a neat AI paper called SAMURAI -- it takes SAM 2 (Meta's "segment anything" model) and makes it way better at tracking objects in videos. Basic problem is SAM 2 gets confused when things move fast or there's a crowd of similar objects (big problem for VFX and video intelligence alike). The fix? They basically gave it a sense of motion and smarter memory selection using our old friend the Kalman filter -- helps it remember where things were going instead of just where they are. No retraining needed and runs in realtime. Elegant solution that matches (and even beats!) a lot of purpose built tracking systems. Nice example of how sometimes you don't need fancy new architectures -- just smart ways to use what the model already knows, plus some tried & tested classical methods. Also because it's so creative, the possibilities are just endless. For example Marc Köhlbrugge suggests "add a tank", I add a tank but then next I need to add a turret aiming system and next I get more ideas "let's add lots of vehicles" then "let's add walking mode". It's really fun but I get it better now how video games are infinity rabbit holes A lot of people ridicule my little game rn, and it's not great or perfect or anything yet I agree, but people play it and seem to have fun and I really do wanna make a cool flight game. I'm happy it makes some money already in its first month, which gives me more motivation to work on it!
