Congratulating Team J&K on their historic triumph in the Ranji Trophy, the Chief Minister announced a cash reward of ₹2 crore for the players and support staff after their emphatic victory over Karnataka on their home turf. The confusion about whether former Eagles OC, Kevin Patullo, was fired or not isn't that confusing. They never used the word fired. In short, they care about him, value what he has done for the organization, and are allowing him to weigh his options and decide if he wants to come back in a different role. Philadelphia, & their entire front office, are a class org. They value people, respect them, and treat them right. They also know what he has meant to their 2 Super Bowls runs, despite not working out at OC. The players who praised him all season and after the wild-card loss do so with sincerity. It is not lip service or professionalism. They genuinely respect him. Almost every player was asked about him after their loss, nobody wavered in their praise for him. Nick has explained what they are doing, and the players have expressed their role in the season's struggles. Below is from right after the game.

Why does the world ignore the rights of the Kurdish people? Why are policies imposed on the Kurdish people, while their most basic rights are overlooked? Casuals and media noise aside, a lot of this new generation of hoopers has Kevin Durant as their GOAT. They gravitated towards the skill. You have to go to a gym though with players. He's the created player in real life and his formula was ultra successful. His influence on taller players is unmatched. He altered a position and evolved the game. You can tell it was surreal for Ant, the future best, to go against his idol. What's going to grow the legend of KD to the next gen is his ability to continue to perform and match them on any given night.

These clips once again show how well and professionally the boys handled the entire situation. During Domino and right before Chan was actively trying to calm the crowd and make them pull back. When he noticed they weren’t responding, he decided to stop the music entirely just before God’s Menu started. You can clearly see the fear in their eyes and hear the desperation in their voices as they pleaded stay to step back. Despite their efforts, the situation continued for several minutes until Hyunjin made the wise decision to turn around and urge the members to leave the stage. It was the right call, prioritizing everyone’s safety above all else.

I’ve always had a soft spot for players who dedicated their entire careers to one club, regardless of the badge they wore. Men like Bergomi, Facchetti, Maldini and of course, Baresi had loyalty, pride and commitment which are qualities that transcend rivalries. Baresi and Maldini, in particular, are two players whose careers I’ve spent countless hours revisiting through my work. Beyond their extraordinary ability, it was the way they carried themselves both on and off the pitch that commanded respect. The video below is one of those examples. Seeing a veteran Baresi smile and gently pat a young Totti on the head in appreciation for protecting him is one of those small moments that has always stuck with me.
