Interestingly enough, there was the Shah of Iran, and then the Shah was displaced by Mossadegh. Mossadegh was democratically elected. Now, to be very fair, the United States and Britain got rid of Mossadegh. And then we reinstalled the Shah, bad decision. Which then led to the Iranian revolution where radical Islam took over Iran. Look at some of these pictures of what Iran used to be. (Shown in video) It was wealthy, it was proud, it was strong. The Persians are wonderful people. Some of my closest friends are Persians, and I love the Persian people, and we should have a heart for the Persian people to try and have a better future. Regime change is very difficult to talk about. I actually don't like talking about regime change. It's very complicated. But understand that there can be brighter days ahead for the Iranian people and just look at some of these pictures of how beautiful Iran used to be, how beautiful Tehran used to be. And it's, it's very easy to kind of sit in your Western armchair and be like, oh, Israel's terrible. Well, you are able to enjoy free speech rights and a lot of rights here in the West that Iran used to have. And if you are serious about actually protecting human rights, you should wanna make Iran Western again.”

Some ideas: - It needs to be a smaller window that you can press to expand (and see the intervention reasons) - It should go away on its own after x seconds - something related to destination parking would be a good option? - voice note should just be one of the options in the list rather than an entire separate pop up - the mockup that ΛI DRIVR showed would be the absolute best way to handle this. You can observe all of your disengagements at the end of your drive and then you can go through and take the time to tag it all properly. Never in my wildest imagination did I think I would be called into special session over Memorial Day weekend and have to argue that military members and their spouses deserve to have their votes counted after they already cast their ballots. But here we are. South Carolina is trying to rush through new congressional maps while the election process is already underway. Military and overseas voters followed the rules. They requested their ballots. They voted. They sent them back. Now, because politicians want to change the maps at the last minute, those voters could have their ballots thrown out through no fault of their own. That is unacceptable. I have an amendment that says if the congressional primaries are moved to August, those military and overseas voters should automatically receive a new ballot for the new primary. That should not be controversial. But apparently, some folks are fighting me on it. Some days it feels like I am living in the upside down. It is Memorial Day weekend, and I am having to fight to protect the voting rights of the very people serving our country. If we say we support our veterans, our military members, and their families, then we should start by making sure their votes count. Standing strong. Holding the line.

I have an amendment that says if the congressional primaries are moved to August, those military and overseas voters should automatically receive a new ballot for the new primary. That should not be controversial. But apparently, some folks are fighting me on it. Some days it feels like I am living in the upside down. It is Memorial Day weekend, and I am having to fight to protect the voting rights of the very people serving our country. If we say we support our veterans, our military members, and their families, then we should start by making sure their votes count. Standing strong. Holding the line.

Here's how the GRAF sees the TWO storms hitting the DC region on Tuesday-Wednesday this week. -Has snow starting 12-1pm in DC. -Note temperatures...likely above freezing at onset. We will "lose" some snow initially to ground melt. Recall the January storm, we had VERY cold temperatures leading up to it. Not quite this time. -I still worry the northern end of the I-81 corridor (Winchester up to Hagerstown zone) could underperform due to lighter precip and "mountain dry slotting" you can see this model, like the HRRR, trying to pick up on that a bit. -Snow exits around/after midnight in immediate DC area. We're then dry most of the first half of Wednesday. -Second system approached Wednesday afternoon. This one has much warmer mid-levels, and should be a moderate to heavy rain event for DC. -Cold may lag at the surface west of town. Some freezing rain may mix in, some icing is possible in higher elevations. -Rains will help wash away a lot of Tuesday's snowfall. This snow will NOT last as long as January's did. -Rain exits after midnight, Thursday & Friday are dry.
