Zelenskyy tonight calls what Trump earlier today claimed to be an agreement a “proposal”, confirming our Financial Times reporting that there is so far no deal between Ukraine and Russia — “There is currently a strong proposal from the United States regarding a mutual cessation of strikes on critical infrastructure. And if this can become the first de-escalation step – a step to stop Russian strikes on our critical infrastructure and our retaliatory strikes – then Ukraine is ready to support de-escalation.” Zelenskyy continued in his evening address: “We see that the Russians are feeling tension due to our precision strikes on the Russian war economy.
