Mongooses are actually favored against cobras due to their agility, speed, and specialized acetylcholine receptors that make them resistant to cobra venom Their quick reflexes allow them to dodge strikes and deliver fatal bites to the snake’s head.

Mongooses actually regularly eat Cobras and often toy with them. They're immune to their venom which allows them to hunt them without worrying about their bites. This essentially means the Cobras can do nothing to them.
