The front section of the Air India flight that crashed shortly after taking off from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad landed on the roof of the resident doctors’ hostel at BJ Medical College. The London-bound flight was carrying 242 people. Among them were 169 Indian nationals, 53 British nationals, one Canadian national, and seven Portuguese nationals. Air India’s statement released at 3:19 PM IST on 12 June 2025 reads: “Air India confirms that flight AI171, from Ahmedabad to London Gatwick, was involved in an accident today after take-off. The flight, which departed from Ahmedabad at 1338 hrs, was carrying 242 passengers and crew members on board the Boeing 787-8 aircraft. Of these, 169 are Indian nationals, 53 are British nationals, 1 Canadian national and 7 Portuguese nationals. The injured are being taken to the nearest hospitals. We have also set up a dedicated passenger hotline number 1800 5691 444 to provide more information. Air India is giving its full cooperation to the authorities investigating this incident.” The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) statement, released at 2:38 PM IST on 12 June 2025, says: “The aircraft departed from Ahmedabad at 13:39 IST. It gave a Mayday call to ATC, after which there was no further response from the aircraft.” Union Home Minister Amit Shah reacted to the news on X at 3:31 PM IST before leaving for Ahmedabad: “Pained beyond words by the tragic plane crash in Ahmedabad. Disaster response forces have been quickly rushed to the crash site. Spoke with the Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel, Home Minister Shri Harsh Sanghavi, and Commissioner of Police Ahmedabad to assess the situation.” Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on X at 4:05 PM IST, “The tragedy in Ahmedabad has stunned and saddened us. It is heartbreaking beyond words. In this sad hour, my thoughts are with everyone affected by it. Have been in touch with Ministers and authorities who are working to assist those affected.”

Kabushenga’s Thoughts Another Coffee Milestone It is now the story of my life’s current season. And we have another reason to celebrate our RugyeyoFarmLtd Coffee. But first, gratitude to you all. Last week I put out a straw poll on my socials to gauge preference for the designs of our coffee packaging. The response has been as engaged as it has been dynamic, even passionate. You didn’t just choose, you justified your preference. Aspects of the branding rationale I had not even thought about. It was rewarding to read your responses but most importantly it was humbling to see how invested you are in our Rugyeyo Coffee journey. You want us to succeed. You want to see it work. We will make it work. This engagement created clarity. Now we will make adjustments to the designs and prepare for the market. This conversation convinced us about the direction we are going to take in 2027. Our coffee will be available for sale to final consumers on a commercial scale. The plan is to craft 5 tons of our October harvest into a fine robusta for processing & packaging. And then sell it as ready to drink coffee. We should go to market with the first batch in January 2027. It will be a medium roast that can do mainly espresso but also long blacks. A chance for Ugandans to enjoy an organic home brew. There is another reason we are confident about the quality of our product and why we are barnstorming in this direction. After taking our coffee to the London & Manchester Coffee Festivals in 2025, we were invited to submit samples to the UK’s Guild of Fine Foods for scoring and rating. The evaluation focuses strictly on taste through rigorous blind tastings by a panel of over 500 culinary experts, including chefs, food critics, buyers, and writers. Products are stripped of all branding and packaging to ensure complete impartiality. Instead of numerical points, products receive a score ranging from zero to three stars. Roughly only 35% to 40% of all annual entries receive any stars at all, making it a definitive stamp of quality Rugyeyo Farm Coffee scored a star. I wish I had sent our very best beans. The sample I sent was all I had at the time, not necessarily the best. But now I know that our product is premium and properly crafted will deliver a world class coffee experience. We are ready to go. In five to ten years we will have a reason to celebrate our coffee family tradition that started in 1954.

The Lakers potential rotation now. Guards. Luka Doncic. Austin Reaves. Collin Sexton. Jaden Hardy. Cameron Carr. Forwards. Quentin Grimes. Sandro Mamukelashvili. Ziaire Williams. Adou Thiero. Jake LaRavia. Centers. Walker Kessler. Kevin Looney. Outside looking in. Bronny James probably following LeBron. Jarred Vanderbilt. And Dalton Knecht. In talks. Jonathan Kuminga forward. Looking at the rotation this team is a fantastic transition from the athletically challenged team the Lakers had last season. Also last seasons team had only two defensive specialists in Marcus Smart and Jarred Vanderbilt but the latters offense makes him unlikely to get a chance with JJ Redick. This team has rangy defenders in line with the direction the league is headed. Ziaire Williams being top 20 in the NBA in some advanced defensive stats. Grimes is the archetypical 3 and D wing with emphasis on poa duties. Cameron Carr and Adou Thiero are prospects showing tremendous promise on the defensive end. All these defenders are young and athletic. Zeroing in on Ziaire, he's a 6-foot-8 wing with a 6-foot-10 wingspan. Ideally, he fits into our power forward spot with his length and ability to deter shots at the rim as a forward. His 3-point shooting stats look bad in a vacuum but he's shown better efficiency shooting the three over the past 3 seasons. Looking at his shot mechanics below, you can see his shit release point is good, his follow-through is good as well. He can become an elite shooter especially with two of the league's best playmakers in his backcourt. Also, he can catch lobs too. Nice. Hats off to the tremendous work Rob Pelinka has done this summer rebuilding this team. Having this flexibility of wing defenders alongside an elite rim protector in Kessler honestly makes me very bullish on the Lakers. This is a 57 win team barring any major injuries. There is top 5 offense and top 10 defensive potential. Rob Pelinka has done an excellent job dealing and wheeling like a GM. I have been hard on him in the past for being too passive and not making moves on the margin. The last 14 months have been so much better from him.

Hats off to the tremendous work Rob Pelinka has done this summer rebuilding this team. Having this flexibility of wing defenders alongside an elite rim protector in Kessler honestly makes me very bullish on the Lakers. This is a 57 win team barring any major injuries. There is top 5 offense and top 10 defensive potential. Rob Pelinka has done an excellent job dealing and wheeling like a GM. I have been hard on him in the past for being too passive and not making moves on the margin. The last 14 months have been so much better from him.

The targeting foul against Zack Orr of NCC Football has been overturned, and he will be eligible to start in Saturday's #d3fb National Semifinal vs. Susquehanna Football at 3:30pm EST / 2:30pm CST. I spoke with Steve Shaw, the NCAA's National Coordinator of Officials, about the overturn this morning. Note that the provision in question is whether or not Springfield Football QB Drew Heenan qualified under the rules as a "defenseless player," as the following is one such definition in the NCAA Football Rulebook: "A ball carrier already in the grasp of an opponent and whose forward progress has been stopped." If a defenseless player is hit in the neck or head region by an opponent, then targeting is a proper call under the rules. Steve said: “We’re very clear that he's not defenseless until he is down. And if you go back and look at the video on the play…he's wrapped up and he's going down. And the contact is with [the] runner just as he's going to the ground. So he really has not transitioned to a defenseless player yet. You know, you can make the argument that, well, if he's wrapped up, he's defenseless and he can't really defend himself. But from a replay perspective, we needed a bright line that that was not a judgment, but a bright line. And that is, [he] has to be down, considered down before he's defenseless….He's just beginning to go down and be down. And so we wouldn't consider him down at the time that he's hit. And there's no crown of the helmet involved. The helmet is clearly to the side. And so, from a replay perspective, rules are very clear. You've got to be able to confirm all aspects of targeting for it to be targeting. You couldn't confirm that he was down and then hit. So we didn't give him defenseless status....And that's why the targeting was overturned.” Steve also taught me about something that is important. While regular replay reviews can come out as "confirmed," "overturned," or "stands" (which means that there is not conclusive evidence to overturn, but there isn't a full confirmation of the original call either), targeting calls do not have a "stands" option when they are reviewed. In other words, they are viewed anew and either every element necessary for targeting must be confirmed, or it is overturned. Think of it as being innocent until proven guilty in the review process for targeting. In this case, he was clear to underscore that the elements could have been argued to have existed, but it would have, at best, been a "call stands" decision, which is not sufficient to uphold a targeting call. Steve also expressed the hopes that the instant replay model that has been developed and used in Division 2 will become more utilized in Division 3, related to more-universal instant replay using a coaches' challenge approach (except for targeting), much like we saw in the Centennial Conference this year. He understands the challenges, but he also feels that having two HD camera angles plus the normal web stream (basically at least three cameras) is sufficient to embrace the needs of instant replay. He is not in favor of a D1 type of replay at the lower levels because of the desire to not have constant game interruptions and more technological challenges at the lower levels than we see at D1 -- he stressed his support of a coaches' challenge system in our conversation multiple times. OSTRICH FARM UPDATE - Counting, Transparency, Welfare and Due Process Response to CFIA Statement – October 22, 2025 We appreciate that the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has chosen to communicate publicly about the ongoing situation at Universal Ostrich Farm. However, several points in their statement misrepresent the truth and must be respectfully corrected for the public record. You state that 330 Ostrich are out there that's your number, lets use that. WHY cant we get to that number with clear images from the mountains around? 1. Court Orders and Custody The Supreme Court of Canada’s stay of execution was meant to protect life and maintain the status quo while the Court considers our appeal not to enable indefinite seizure and isolation of our animals. The CFIA continues to restrict our access and oversight, despite these being our animals and our property. Custody requires care, transparency, and accountability not exclusion and secrecy. 2. Counting and Transparency We have repeatedly requested an updated count of our birds, and each request has been denied. We are the lawful owners, yet we have been told we cannot physically verify or count our own animals. Nor have a independent count by a vet This is unreasonable and deeply concerning. We simply wish to confirm their welfare. Furthermore, we have informed CFIA that our detailed manifest and lineage records will be provided only to our lawyer, who we trust to hold them securely. This decision was made after numerous breaches of trust by the agency. We must ask why does CFIA insist on obtaining the full genetic manifest of our flock? What use is this information to them while refusing transparency to us? 3. Samples and Intellectual Property Concerns CFIA’s ongoing presence, coupled with their refusal to allow independent oversight, raises legitimate concerns about unauthorized sample collection. We have no verification of what materials may have been taken since the occupation began. Given the value of ostrich antibodies proven in our past research to neutralize multiple viral strains, we have reason to fear these antibodies could be exploited for research or profit without our consent or acknowledgment. If CFIA has taken blood or tissue samples, we call for immediate disclosure of what was collected, where it was sent, and for what purpose. 4. Welfare and Care Oversight CFIA claims to provide feed, water, and bedding. Yet the family and ongoing local veterinarians have been barred from conducting welfare checks besides the one time. If CFIA truly has nothing to hide, why are they preventing independent welfare verification? The public deserves to know that these animals are being cared for humanely. We see they are not 5. Record Keeping and Accountability The CFIA states we have not provided flock records. That is false. Our affidavits, court filings, and veterinary documents have been provided under oath. The only reason additional data is withheld is the total loss of trust in an agency that has repeatedly acted outside the spirit of the law and without transparency. 6. Why This Matters If this policy continues unchecked, it sets a dangerous precedent: Farmers can lose their life’s work without due process or testing. Agencies can claim control of healthy animals while denying owners even basic oversight. Decades of biodiversity, genetic resilience, and natural immunity painstakingly cultivated can be wiped out overnight. When CFIA destroys healthy flocks under the guise of “biosecurity,” Canada loses more than animals we lose knowledge, immunity, and our agricultural future. 7. Our Call to Canadians We ask Canadians to stand with us peacefully and respectfully: Email your MP, MLA, and the Minister of Agriculture demanding an inquiry into CFIA’s conduct. Request transparent, science-based testing before any depopulation or seizure. Demand independent animal-welfare oversight whenever the CFIA exercises custody. Big congratulations to the Philippine community for the significant event that took place yesterday, March 2, 2025!👏👏👏👏 I truly believe that our Pi Network has been blessed by so many dedicated pioneers, merchants, and community leaders—our GCV Ambassadors! Without your sacrifices and commitment, we could not have reached this level. I am especially grateful to our Global GCV CT Executive Director and committee chair, Ms. Lumari, the Head of GCV Ambassadors, along with all the outstanding Philippine GCV warriors. Your extraordinary contribution of 1,429,652 GCV record on blockchain by December 18, 2024, played a critical role in advancing the GCV Movement! We can see these impressive beautiful numbers $314,159 everywhere, and this achievement has been acknowledged by our CT on the GitHub source code as part of the digital currency value and the stablecoin market price. We are now on the path to obtaining a U.S. Cryptocurrency Industry license from the SEC, and we are working hard toward that goal. I am truly impressed by the positive energy and unity of the Philippine community! You are a great example of our Global GCV community. The following is my speech on this wonderful dinner party conference! ------------- Dear Philippines community leaders, GCV Ambassadors, merchants, and pioneers, It is a profound honor to address you today at the Philippine Grand Global GCV Conference. We gather here as one thousand dedicated pioneers, united in our celebration of the achievements we've made within the Pi Network. I encourage all of you to enjoy the delicious food and take this opportunity to motivate and appreciate one another. The Philippine community exemplifies the spirit of global unity, collaboration, and growth. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to Ms. Lumari for her gracious invitation, as well as to all the diligent organizers who have made this event possible. This conference stands as a tribute to our collective growth, unity, collaboration, and progress. I would also like to acknowledge our esteemed Global GCV Ambassadors: Ms. Nonny Padja, Mr. Joho, Mr. Patrick Chao, Mr. Jason Wong, and Spain GCV Ambassador Mr. Kerun LI and Africa GCV Ambassador Mr. Oliver NDatimana, who have generously offered their time to share their insights and support our mission for today's conference. The progress of the GCV movement in the Philippines has been truly commendable, reflecting the remarkable dedication and hard work that has resulted in the creation of over 1.5 million GCV data points. This accomplishment is a testament to your unity, vision, and unwavering commitment. Ms. Lumari’s perseverance and leadership have been instrumental in our success. Her emphasis on education and the development of the GCV ecosystem, coupled with her proactive mindset, serves as an inspiring model for the entire global community. I am also immensely grateful to Mr. Marlon Domantay, our distinguished Education GCV Ambassador; Mr. Anthony Nierra, our distinguished Ecosystem GCV Ambassador; and distinguished Ms. Lerma Ablan, our Merchant Coordinator Ambassador, along with all our outstanding Philippine GCV Ambassadors, leaders, and merchants for their hard work and invaluable contributions. Strong and effective leadership is essential for the success of any initiative, particularly within the Pi Network social practice. We have observed significant advancements in our ecosystem development and educational efforts, which are attributable to the exemplary leadership demonstrated by all our GCV Ambassadors. Our Open Network has passed on February 20th, 2025, we await the official announcement of Pi's value but we didn't see it. Currently, we see Pi priced at a few dollars in the exchange market. Many pioneers may have lost trust in CT and GCV due to misunderstandings about the Pi Network and our relationship to it. A clear understanding of Pi and Dr. Nicolas's vision will help us align our goals and behavior towards collective success. Recognizing the importance of unity will emphasize the key role of collaboration. We are in the first stage of OM, still tasked with many objectives yet to be completed. We need all pioneers to collaborate. After two and a half years, we've successfully created GCV for the blockchain ecosystem, coded on GitHub. Following the launch of the Open Network, with Pi now listed on the exchange market and regulated by the US SEC, it is crucial for pioneers to work together to stabilize Pi's price as a stable coin on exchange market. It's essential to ensure all lower-priced Pi is purchased by us to unify its market price to GCV. CT's goal is for Pi to function as a digital currency, but now we have no choice but to be listed on exchange market as a coin, so we must support buying and refrain from selling during this critical phase. WE need to make the Pi price lifted to GCV from our community and attract outside investors. Now we enter a pivotal moment: we must assist the exchange market in reaching GCV levels as soon as possible. We urge pioneers to refrain from selling below GCV and to prioritize buying Pi on verified exchanges. If we pull together, we can achieve GCV very fast. CT has outlined two essential functions for Pi: one as a stable coin in the exchange market and the other as a valued currency. Both GCV value and price are encoded on Gibthub and we must build strong confidence in this. Dear Philippine community leaders, merchants, and pioneers, let’s continue our collaboration with CT to ensure that the Pi Network is fully decentralized, implementing the GCV source code effectively. Through our combined efforts, we can establish Pi as a super-sovereign currency in the long term, forging a new era of cryptocurrency and prosperity for all.
