Our Battle Angel Alita cosplay will be on display from tomorrow this weekend at London Comic Con Winter at Olympia, November 16-17. I’ve set her all up to run on an ESP32 microprocessor powering an OLED display that shows the #smartdoll protocol boot sequence. The setup also includes pulsating lights that bring the cyber shell to life. For the past 10 years, whenever folks asked, “What’s so ‘smart’ about Smart Doll?” I’d share the story of how it all started as an April Fools’ joke that went viral. Back then, “Smart Doll” was imagined as a doll that could do your homework and even had built-in flamethrowers. The name stuck—almost as if it chose us—and it became an ongoing challenge to address, given the lack of any “smart” functionality. It’s a question I’ve been inspired to tackle in new ways ever since. ;-) But times have changed. Now, when people ask the same question, I simply reply, “What do you want them to do?” Until now, folks have used the Smart Doll platform to express creativity through our diverse collection of body shapes and skin tones. But Smart Doll is evolving—continuing to be a canvas for imagination while becoming a platform for innovation and limitless possibilities. With Cyber Shell Cortex, we’ve come full circle. Designed as a customizable shell for DIY enthusiasts, it allows folks to pair their Smart Doll with sensors, servo motors, and other modules, transforming them into an IoT-enabled companion capable of connecting to APIs like ChatGPT or IFTTT to control home appliances and more. For the first time, Smart Doll can truly live up to its name, limited only by the physical space inside and the creativity of those who dare to make it their own. There’s still work to do—like redesigning the spine to create more internal space for rechargeable batteries, modules, and servomotors. I’m also exploring motorized body panels that can open automatically—features that require retooling molds. While it’ll take some time before the release, I believe it will be worth the wait. Once the classic body is complete, my next goal is to Cortexify the Pear Body. More photos on the site

//The Wire//2300Z August 3, 2026// //ROUTINE// //BLUF: MASS SHOOTING CONDUCTED IN IDAHO, PREPARED CITIZEN RETURNS FIRE DURING SMALL ARMS ENGAGEMENT. PRESIDENT TRUMP CALLS OFF WEEKEND STRIKES IN IRAN. WILDFIRES DEVASTATE URBAN AREAS IN PACIFIC NORTHWEST.// -----BEGIN TEARLINE----- -International Events- Middle East: On Saturday, President Trump stated that the weekend strikes had been called off. Throughout the region the status quo remains, and no major targeting efforts were conducted since last week, with the exception of Iran continuing to strike merchant vessels which try to transit the Strait of Hormuz using the unauthorized southern route. -HomeFront- Idaho: On Saturday, an active shooter incident was reported at an In-N-Out restaurant in Twin Falls. At approximately 2:30pm local time, one gunman approached the structure and began shooting at the patrons inside. During the attack, an armed and prepared citizen responded to the shooting and began engaging the shooter. This action prompted the shooter to break off the attack, and take his own life, ending the incident. During the fray, an off duty police officer at the venue also responded to the shooting, and was seriously wounded by a gunshot wound to the arm. Concerning casualties, a total of 3x people were killed during the attack, at least one of which was an employee of the restaurant. Approximately 7x others were wounded, some of which remain in critical condition. The suspect has been identified as Chad Williams, and no information has been released regarding the motive for the attack. Analyst Comment: Based on the videos that have come to light during the shooting, the attacker was very likely not expecting any opposition to arrive for some time, and was likely caught off guard by at least one, possibly two people shooting at him immediately after his attack began. Though this shooting will be scrutinized over the next few weeks, the immediate lesson learned is that both violence of action and some level of training are the most important factors for turning the tide during an active shooter incident. Washington: Over the weekend, wildfires have spread throughout the Pacific Northwest, with an exceptionally dangerous series of fires affecting Spokane. Fire damage has spread to the urban areas at the northwestern side of town, and upwards of 65,000 people remain affected or displaced by the devastation statewide. Analyst Comment: In wildland fire management, one of the most dangerous fire situations are fires that occur at the Wildland-Urban Interface (WUI). These are fires which occur on the outskirts of towns, where jurisdictions meet and interagency coordination is more difficult due to varying tactics being used in fighting the fire. In this case, the fires spreading to the urban environment very quickly resulted in the loss of approximately 700 structures in Spokane County. -----END TEARLINE----- Analyst Comments: Though the chances of this theory being correct are slim, there is another possible explanation for the weekend shenanigans in the Middle East, that does not lie in the realm of stock market manipulation or insider trading. It is possible that the long buildup to weekend strikes on the rhetoric front (but not really in terms of staging a lot of aircraft) was intended to make someone or something move. Speaking operationally, the Iranians have been buttoned up for some time now, as they are fighting a defensive war on their home turf. Most Iranian leadership, even down the chain to mid-level management positions, are all expecting decapitation strikes, the targeting of headquarters positions, and other secret bunker complexes and safehouses that are used for command and control. When an adversary is dug-in so substantially, sometimes it's beneficial to "shake the tree", as in, to do something to get the dug-in adversary to either move or communicate with others. If this was the goal, it probably worked and resulted in some intelligence benefit. The Iranians viewed the strikes as imminent, to the point that cities were being evacuated, leave was canceled for ground troops, and key leaders had moved to their more substantial bunker complexes. Movement which the watchful eye of American intelligence agencies could see. Of course, if this theory bears any weight, the overall reasoning for why this took place is still fairly dumb. Normally, these types of information operations are useless unless they are capitalized on immediately, as stale intelligence does not really help the overall strategic situation. What's astronomically more likely than some sort of intelligence collection potential is simply the financial incentives to keep playing financial markets, and hoping that the "we're bombing them"/"they called and want to make a deal" cycle continues to be a viable option for both insider trading, but also to string the war along and buy time for a solution to hopefully materialize. 🇦🇺 BONDI BEACH BLOODBATH: WHAT LIT THE FUSE? Netanyahu blamed Australia’s recognition of the State of Palestine Some Arab journalists blamed the war on Gaza Other Israeli journalists pointed at Iran Conspiracy theorists claimed it’s an Israeli false flag attack Today I have former IDF spokesperson Jonathan Conricus and Journalist Michael Tracey to discuss what led to this horrific attack, and what the repercussions could be. Conricus pulls no punches: he wasn't surprised by the attack, seeing it as the grim payoff of "globalize the Intifada" rhetoric and an Aussie government that's "weak and cowardly," quick to bash Israel while letting hate fester. He states examples including chants like "gas the Jews" at Sydney protests right after Oct 7, unpunished synagogue attacks, and Jews told to ditch their kippahs for safety. Tracey fires back: How can the recognition of a Palestinian State be the instigator of this hate, when similar attacks against Jews have been seen in the U.S., a country that has not recognized the state of Palestine. A more plausible reason? The horrific war in Gaza, fueling rage and hate globally. He reminds Conricus of Trump’s many statements warning that the world’s perception of Israel is souring due to the war in Gaza. And those hate speech chants? That’s free speech in action, something every American values in their constitution. This debate cuts to the heart of how foreign policy bleeds into domestic hate, with Australia now a cautionary tale during spiking global antisemitism. Conricus fears more violence without crackdowns; Tracey warns that overreach could backfire on freedoms. Either way, it's a wake-up call for leaders worldwide. 03:10 – "This is what it means when people say globalize the Intifada" 05:01 – Jewish Australians felt “betrayed by legislators, exposed by law enforcement” 08:00 – “Chanting 'gas the Jews' just miles from Bondi Beach” 10:25 – “Not one hate crime suspect brought to justice in Australia” 13:00 – “The line between pro-Palestinian and pro-Hamas is a fake distinction” 16:13 – “Today, Hamas is the dominant Palestinian political organization” 18:11 – “Many protesters were literally paid to be there, on salary” 20:22 – “Islamists want to dominate the West, not integrate into it” 23:03 – Sweden went from open borders to zero immigration — a cautionary tale 25:00 – Muslim hero Ahmed Al-Ahmed saves lives in Bondi shooting 26:22 – “False flag theories? Claims Israel or Iran are behind the attack” 28:08 – “Attackers weren’t trained, could have caused much worse carnage” 30:59 – “Blowback from Gaza campaign is real, even Trump admits it” 33:17 – “Mass propaganda and fake news against Israel fuel lone wolf attacks” 35:45 – “Unarmed Jewish civilians around the world pay the price for incitement”

🔥A Resident Evil 3 Remake mod bringing back the original game is gaining attention — here’s what we learned. Resident Evil 3: Last Escape isn’t just another gameplay or difficulty mod. Its creator aims to transform Resident Evil 3 Remake into a much more faithful recreation of the original game. 👀The story behind the project is just as interesting. The creator isn’t a game developer, he’s a professional chef. Like many Resident Evil fans, he was disappointed by the remake’s short length and how much content from the 1999 original was left out. That disappointment inspired him to begin learning how to mod the game. He spent nearly a year and a half studying tutorials, documentation, and forum guides before finally starting work on the project. He understood that another Resident Evil 3 Remake was unlikely to happen within his lifetime, so instead of waiting for something that would probably never come, he decided to build his own vision. ❗️What makes Resident Evil 3: Last Escape stand out is the sheer scale of the project. The mod is expected to expand Resident Evil 3 Remake by more than 60%, largely through new playable locations. During development, the creator learned how to import virtually any location from any RE Engine game and make it fully functional with lighting, collision, doors, locks, items, resources, puzzles, enemies, and music. The project will also introduce new Nemesis encounters and boss fights, redesigned item placement and progression, brand-new puzzles and gameplay mechanics, and a reworked crafting system featuring multiple new gunpowder types. Everything has already been successfully implemented and confirmed to work reliably. 🧐He also learned how to create completely original locations that don’t exist in any RE Engine title. This will allow him to recreate several streets from the original Resident Evil 3 by transforming its classic pre-rendered backgrounds into fully explorable 3D environments. Everything described above has already been tested and confirmed to work. The long-term goal is to restore much of the original game's storyline through new cutscenes recreating events from Resident Evil 3 (1999). Confirmed additions include the fully playable Uptown, Clock Tower, Park, Cemetery, Dead Factory, and R.P.D., along with a working Ink Ribbon save system and other content cut from the remake. 👍One detail many fans will appreciate is that Resident Evil 3: Last Escape is planned to be released completely free of charge. The growing interest in the project once again shows how many fans remain dissatisfied with Resident Evil 3 Remake. Each new YouTube update draws thousands of views, while the comments are filled with fans supporting the creator and praising the project's vision. ❤️For many fans, it remains their favorite game in the series, and they continue to hope that one day it will receive the faithful, ambitious remake they believe it deserves. If Resident Evil 3 Remake were ever given a more faithful and ambitious reimagining on the level of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 4, many players would likely be happy to buy it again. The next major development update is expected in about a week, with a new YouTube video showcasing the project's latest progress.

250717 #ATEEZ #Hongjoong talks about Mingi’s health, renewed contract and why ATEEZ stayed, TOKTOQ pop (voice) live (rough translation): Anyway, those were some behind-the-scenes stories. I hope that since each member’s solo performance has its own unique color, you’ll also look forward to mine and find something exciting in it. I’ll keep working hard so there’s always something for you to anticipate. Honestly, for these solo stages to be meaningful, they need to be just as captivating and focused as our group songs. That’s why I keep pushing myself to stay on edge and come up with new intro ideas and experiments - it’s part of my mindset. So, that’s what I’m doing. 💬 My captain is in Tennessee. 🐿️ Yes~ 💬 Will you try Jersey (? t/n I’m not sure) next? 🐿️ (laughs) The weather’s been so nice lately. Really nice. I think we’re in more of a city area of Tennessee. 💬 Cowboy Captain 🐿️ (laughs) 💬 Europe soon? 🐿️ Ah, about the Insta post - I originally meant to upload it with music added, but it ended up just getting posted as-is. I really liked that photo, so I had it saved in drafts and re-uploaded it. But once I deleted the post, the draft disappeared too, so I was like, “Ah…” and just uploaded another one instead. Still, when I think of Nashville, there’s a certain song and artist that come to mind, so I wanted to use their music. I was already excited before getting on the plane, and when I saw the Nashville sign I thought, “Oh!” and took a picture. (laughs) I haven’t eaten yet. As for our condition, overall the members are okay, but Mingi has a bit of conjunctivitis right now. He’s the type who often gets allergic reactions or eye-related symptoms, so during yesterday’s performance he kept wearing sunglasses. Honestly, we all probably have little aches and areas that aren’t in great shape, but since Mingi’s is more visible, it’s more noticeable. Also, now that we’ve all renewed our contracts together and shared it with all of you, I feel like we’ve become even more affectionate toward one another. We’ve always talked about doing this for a long time, so it wasn’t a huge issue for us, but now that it’s been officially announced, I think it feels a bit different, somehow. It definitely feels like something special. To be honest, for the past few years - maybe from just under two years ago - every time we had a comeback, we were always asked about contract renewals. And internally, we would think, “Why doesn’t this question feel like such a big deal to us?” Of course, if we don’t say anything, people won’t know what we’re thinking. But we found ourselves wondering why that question never really hit us hard. We can’t share all the details, but when it came to the contract period, from the very beginning the members were in agreement: if we’re going to do this, let’s do it long-term so we can feel secure and stable. That was something we all agreed on early on. We had a lot of conversations at the start because this isn’t something you take lightly. That’s part of why we took our time before telling you. But choosing to go long-term - honestly, all of us felt that was the right decision for ATEEZ and ATINY. Of course, if we had made the announcement earlier, maybe it would have been more comfortable for both us and the fans. But now that it’s timed with everything else we’re doing, and now that we’ve been able to share it with you all in this moment, I actually think it turned out better this way. It wasn’t something we took lightly or prepared casually. We seriously talked about it for a long time among ourselves. And now, talking with all of you like this, I feel even more confident that this decision - choosing to stay on our path as ATEEZ - is the right one. I’m really happy about it. And honestly, since we’ve already built our foundation, starting over somewhere else was never really a viable option for us.

Regarding love scene in Fukuoka 🌸 At that time, I remember we only had one hour left. We had to leave the location already. We did everything and told the actor to stay really focused. I’m sorry about that it was kind of against our usual style. We did the blocking very quickly, knowing the actor was tired, but we had to move really fast. Change costumes, then come back blocking 1234. We divided everything into three parts. The actor had to keep the emotions smooth across all three parts. During filming, the cameraman had to set up the camera and also shoot handheld. We were racing against time. From what we could see, there weren’t any cuts at all. It was done by moving the camera while the actor performed in reverse. After finishing, the cameraman almost collapsed because it was extremely exhausting and physically demanding. There was no dedicated blocking crew. The people adjusting the lights were me and P’Aof, watching the monitor. All the assistants had to help block the background, working around the camera, moving this way, going down there, “Jo, go again,” “Down there,” “Jo,” “TeePor, one more take,” “Back two steps,” “Blocking,” “Come back,” something like that, until we finally finished. When we finished filming, there were only about 10 minutes left until the very last shot had to be completed. Even though we didn’t get all the direction we originally planned, everything had to be rethought on the spot because of time constraints. With just the last 5 minutes remaining, we finished it. Then everyone on the team, me, P’Aof, and the actor hugged each other. I lay down on the floor, and the cameraman put the camera down and lay down too. It was completely exhausting. It felt like we had used up all our breath in that moment. And then I officially announced that filming was wrapped, really wrapped. Everyone started crying, and it felt like it ended right there. Then the actor hugged each other and we went around apologizing and thanking the Japanese staff one by one. After that, we sat together in the room, thanking and hugging each other. We hugged because it was a success, it was done. After that, only the editing team was left, who had to rush the edit to meet deadlines like the Songkran release. In the end, everything went well. It was an exhausting memory, everyone, but it’s a very good memory. // Didn’t expect that it might only be a few short minutes, but all the effort and sweat were worth it. The behind-the-scenes staff, as well as TeePor, everyone did an amazing job 🥹🥹🥹 Respect 🫡

🚨The Willow Home Files The Stranger Things Origin Vanished Without a Trace: The Untold Story Behind the Willowbrook Orphanage Disappearance That Still Terrifies America In 1974 rural Indiana, a quiet orphanage called Willow Home allegedly hid a defense-funded program that erased identities and pushed children through extreme testing. One subject changed everything, the night the power failed and the files started burning. In the shadowy corners of America’s forgotten history lies one of its most chilling unsolved mysteries — the disappearance of the Willowbrook Orphanage in 1968. What began as a story of compassion and refuge for abandoned children ended in a mass vanishing that left investigators speechless and historians divided for more than half a century. More than 43 children and 6 staff members vanished overnight — no records, no witnesses, no sign of struggle. To this day, not a single official explanation has ever been verified. What exactly happened inside those walls? And why did the truth remain buried for so long? The Night the Orphanage Disappeared In the summer of 1968, the Willowbrook Orphanage, located along the desolate stretch of Route 47, suddenly shut its doors. The official explanation claimed that the children had been “relocated to better facilities” during an alleged renovation. But when state officials attempted to confirm those transfers, no relocation records could be found. There were no adoption files, no forwarding addresses, and no paper trail of the staff or the orphans. It was as if an entire community had simply been erased from existence. When locals later entered the crumbling remains of the building, they found children’s toys scattered across the floors, personal items still on the beds, and plates left mid-meal in the cafeteria. Everything looked frozen in time — a snapshot of abandonment, not a planned move. Over the next four decades, the orphanage became the focus of ghost stories, urban legends, and even midnight trespasses by thrill-seekers. Locals whispered that the building was cursed — that if you walked the halls at night, you could still hear the faint laughter of the lost children echoing through the darkness. But it wasn’t until 2008 that the mystery reignited — thanks to one woman’s determination to uncover the truth. The Discovery That Changed Everything That woman was Ruth Caldwell, who entered the ruins of the orphanage searching for clues about her own biological mother. What she found would change the course of the investigation forever. Behind a hidden panel in the matron’s quarters, Ruth uncovered a secret room — untouched for decades. Inside were 43 antique dolls, each perfectly preserved and labeled with the name of a missing child. At first, she assumed the dolls were part of an old collection. But when one fell and cracked open, she realized something horrifying — inside each doll was a child’s personal belonging: a photo of a mother, a father’s military medal, a favorite coin, or a handwritten note promising, “You will come home soon.” The discovery sparked nationwide outrage. Authorities were forced to reopen a case that had been cold for forty years, and what they uncovered next was even more disturbing. A Hidden Network of Exploitation As the investigation deepened, detectives unearthed evidence of a child trafficking network operating under the guise of “charitable relocation.” One man, known only by his alias “Mr. G.,” had used the orphanage as a front for illegal child adoptions and sales. He and his accomplices exploited orphans from poor families, falsifying records to make the children disappear from state systems. What’s worse, financial documents suggested the involvement of government insiders who had profited from the cover-up. For decades, this network thrived in the shadows — until the Willowbrook discovery brought everything crashing down. Per by Staff Contributor
