After using English accents and fake AI-generated Irish music to promote the Croagh Patrick VR experience, delivered on obsolete VR hardware that has been discontinued for around three years, the team behind the project then uploaded a photo of themselves to the centre’s website from Mumbai, complete with bangra Indian music. This is an absolute scandal in the making. The council and local development companies fingerprints are all over this. More to come.

Something came out of orbit? This was the last few seconds of it heading away from me, but I saw it from the other horizon, a bright light with a trail. It went overhead, took 30+ seconds, and was breaking up. I thought it was a rocket launch at first... Northern California.

2023 was the year of AI avatars 2024 was the year of AI photos 2025 was the year of AI videos And I think it's becoming clear now that 2026 will be the year of AI world models Fully interactive explorable 3d worlds generated from one or multiple 2d images or a prompt In turn these 2d images can then be generated by AI too So soon you can generate fully explorable virtual 3d worlds based on your own imagination Next will be figuring out how to make those worlds interactive This is World Labs (unaffiliated, but I like it) As always a lot of big AI model companies are now working on the same thing: 3d world models, only World Labs has a real properly working demo (for now) Very exciting time again!

This guy built a mini AI farm out of 4 Nvidia boxes It does not look like a data center. It looks like a stack of small machines sitting next to a laptop. But each box is a DGX Spark with Grace Blackwell inside, 128GB unified memory, and enough room to run models normal gaming GPUs cannot even open. Using the launch price from the article, 4 of them is almost $12,000 of local AI compute on one desk. That sounds expensive until you compare it to cloud GPUs. A serious AI builder can burn $1,500 to $3,000 a month renting A100s and H100s for client work, fine-tunes, agents and 70B models. He basically moved that bill from the cloud into hardware he owns. 4 Nvidia boxes. 512GB unified memory. No hourly meter running in the background. No rented GPUs eating the margin every time an agent runs too long. The funny part is most people still think local AI means a slow laptop running a toy model. Meanwhile guys like this are stacking compute at home. Save this, local AI is turning into the new mining farm.

I just dropped myself into a Taylor Swift-style music video without writing a single prompt, timeline, or storyboard. I uploaded one photo and the song. That's it. I was on my boat late last night & thought I heard a scrabbling noise coming from outside. I saw movement out of the corner of my eye & looked up to see a fox had come through my open boat hatch & was climbing into my bed! It didn’t flinch or run away when I turned to it & instead slowly sussed me out & gently sauntered back off the boat. It feels like the longer I live in nature, the more comfortable all creatures become with me and my presence.

Luckily, yesterday, before CapCut shut down Seedance 2.0, I was able to create this 15-second continuous single-shot action sequence with a hard noir aesthetic. And what can I say… This is the most mind-blowing action sequence I’ve ever seen generated with AI 🤯 It doesn’t fall short of Sin City at all. I’m sure Frank Miller would love it. Big words.

For those curious as to the AI use by Hank Green, it was not simply "notes" as he claims here. This is him reading off a script, with at least this portion of it being written by AI The giveaway: "Another way to say it, and I appreciate the pushback..." This is how AI responds when being asked something like "I don't like how this is worded, come up with a better phrasing," and makes no sense in the context of the surrounding sentences. People still don't understand how good Codex has become 👀 I asked it to build this Starbucks website and within some 30 minutes it generated this without me touching a single line of code or spending time looking for assets either. Imagen generated every visual and GPT hooked everything into the codebase. After a couple of small tweaks it all just worked. It didn't even use half of my Codex session. It's super surprising to see quality of the assets. Was way better than I expected. That made me think about what AI is actually changing. Being a developer or a designer was never just about doing the work, writing code or designing it using some kind of tool. It was about knowing what to build in the first place. AI is getting incredibly good at the doing. The hard part is still having good ideas, making the right decisions, and knowing when something feels right. That is only getting more valuable. The people who win won't be the ones writing the most code. They'll be the ones with the best ideas who know how to turn them into reality with AI. Live: Code:
