Y'all saw the guy that invested £70k in Abuja, right? Don't listen to guys like this. There's a reason most people keep their funds in properties. Mortgage gives you equity, rent doesn't. You'll pay anyway Don't invest in Nigeria until you know all the risks - they'll eat you.

Lmao... What was that Phyno catch phrase again? O ge me gi voom na' anya Better invest in countries that at least provide some stability and respect the rule of law. Who has time to be fighting with agberos? Especially in that city called Lagos.

That is a lie. You can do mortgage (rent) and still invest in Nigeria or abroad if you want. It has nothing to do with woman pressure

Big lie! Unless you aren't living abroad. If you have an average job & refuse to buy your own house via mortgage, you'd end up helping someone else (landlord) pay off the mortgage on the rental property. Better to pay more on your own mortgage property, than help someone else.

Taking a mortgage when you're old is you running a race where you are already at a disadvantage, when there are other races you can participate in and have a fair chance. How old is too old? It depends on your income, the down-payment you have and the projected longevity of your career. If you must sign up for mortgage at over 40, please make sure you can clearly view(to a large extent) the income that will take you to the principal-dominance crossover point in your monthly payments, which is roughly around 22nd year(considering 30year-term) of your payment at current interest rate.

This is nothing but pure undiluted facts and truth. I will never buy morgage nonsense. Instead, I'll buy lands, build and establish a business back home. After all, in leaving after certain number of years.

Avoid Nigerians in western countries, they can never give you a good advise. For the love 🥰 of your family and yourself, avoid any gatherings with them.

What an idiot! Why can’t you have a mortgage and invest at the same time. Don’t project your failure on others.

Look at this idiot. Investing in your property through mortgage is better than investing in someone else’s property through rent. Idiot.

My question is When you live in the UK, will you pay rent? If yes, why is it wrong to pay same rent with the intent of owning and building equity instead of paying it as a bill???

I love the reference to Cashflow. Early in life, it is more expedient to invest in opportunities that generate or improve your cashflow instead of asset that take away or reduce your cashflow. If you want to know more on those kind of opportunities, send a DM.
