That is not that fast. Any old-school radioman could copy that. I haven’t been on a key since 1973 when I went to OCS, but have worked ships (Russian) on 500kHz sending MAYDAY traffic back in ‘70. They sent at about that speed. Had a friend that used to work speedkey nightime at 230wpm. What you were listening to there sounded more like 20-25wpm but did sound like a speedkey.

Couple questions on this - how do you know that this is Russians ? How do out know on which waves they are ? If your station is in Milan - how you catch this signal or this is a signal sent from Moscow to Italy ?

I could give you some links, but I'd rather tell you to try to commit a few years to listening to Numbers Stations, then you'll be able to answer some questions yourself.
