MOSSAD COMMENTARY: "ISLAM IS COMING TO AMERICA". What you’re seeing here, in a shopping mall in Columbus, is not an isolated argument or a random confrontation. It is a microcosm of a challenge that Israel faces every single day. Listen carefully to the language. This is not about civil rights, or coexistence, or peaceful religious expression. This is explicit ideological intent. Statements like “Islam is coming to America” and “Our goal is to make America an Islamic state” are not misunderstandings. They are declarations. The difference between Israel and the West is not values. It is awareness. In Israel, our eyes are open. We recognize that not every conflict is accidental, and not every ideology seeks to integrate. We have an army, intelligence services, and legal frameworks designed to identify threats early, before they embed themselves inside the social fabric. That does not make Israel perfect, but it makes us alert. In the West, and increasingly in the United States, generosity is being mistaken for weakness. Open societies invite newcomers to join the structure, respect the law, and contribute. What Israel has learned the hard way is that some movements exploit that invitation. They use the language of tolerance and victimhood to shield an ideology that openly rejects the host nation’s identity, laws, and future. This is the Trojan horse problem. It does not arrive with tanks. It arrives with slogans, posters, and moral intimidation, until one day the conversation shifts from “live and let live” to “this country will change whether you like it or not.” Israel lives with that reality every day. The question for the West is not whether this conversation is uncomfortable. The question is whether it will happen now, while there is still time to confront it honestly, or later, when the cost is far higher.
