🔴🇺🇸 🇮🇷 Inside the High Risk F-15E Rescue Mission In Iran Newly declassified footage offers a rare look inside the U.S. operation to recover the Weapons Systems Officer of an F-15E Strike Eagle shot down over Iran on April 3, 2026. The pilot was rescued shortly after the aircraft went down, but the WSO was injured and remained behind enemy lines for two days. U.S. special operations and search and rescue forces were then sent deep into Iran to locate and extract him. The mission involved more than 300 U.S. aircraft and a complex combination of intelligence, special operations forces and helicopters. During the extraction, the rescue helicopters came under small arms fire and several personnel were wounded. The newly released footage shows U.S. search and rescue personnel reaching the injured airman, securing him and carrying him toward the waiting helicopter for extraction. U.S. officials previously described the operation as one of the most challenging and complex missions in the history of U.S. special operations. The footage provides a rare glimpse of what a combat search and rescue mission looks like when the objective is not simply finding a downed aircrew, but bringing them home from deep behind enemy lines.

🚨🇺🇸🇮🇷 HE CALLED IT HOURS BEFORE THE RESCUE BROKE: "U.S. SPECIAL FORCES LIKELY ALREADY INSIDE IRAN" Former U.S. Navy Intel Officer Malcolm Nance said hours before the rescue operation broke that it was "200%" possible U.S. special forces and intel assets were on the ground in Iran before the conflict even started. He called it exactly. Downed pilots communicate via encrypted radios. Rescue teams use deception, drones, and misdirection to reach them. Sometimes the military knows exactly where the pilot is. The hard part is getting them out. Tonight proved him right. Everything Malcolm described is playing out in real time over southwestern Iran. Malcolm Nance

#TheUntoldStoryOfTheIkelaSiege. Daring Rescue Mission: How Zimbabwe’s Special Forces Saved soldiers trapped deep behind enemy lines in Ikela town, Tshuapa Province, northwestern Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). In 1999, Zimbabwean soldiers fighting alongside government, Angolan and Namibian forces, were encircled by Rwandese-backed Congolese Rally for Democracy rebel forces in Ikela and endured a protracted siege. After months under surrounded by enemy forces, a company of 120 Zimbabwe National Army soldiers faced near-certain defeat and a disastrous endgame. With hope of a rescue mission fast fading, a crack commando force launched a bold rescue operation on 1 December 1999, in one of the most daring operations in Zimbabwe's military history. In this episode, Zenzele Ndebele of CITE interviews a former commando soldier Mkhululi Moyo who was involved in the DRC war and takes the viewer and listener deep into the dramatic events of the mission: how it was planned, executed, risks involved, and the special forces eventually pulling off the impossible. Follow the untold story of the Ikela siege on CITE. Zimbabwe's involvement in DRC has too many blank and grey pages (although some say history has no empty pages), as the details of that war - the battles, operations, victories, defeats and the human and financial cost as well as the impact, consequences and implications - remain untold by and large.

The U.S. operation, presented as a mission to rescue the downed F-15 pilot, was never really a recovery mission at all. Instead, it was an operation to seize Iran’s enriched uranium, one that went badly wrong. This story of a heroic pilot rescue was then used to cover up the failure, while questions remain about what actually happened and why the pilot's identity has not been revealed since the operation. I discuss how this narrative was sold to the world and why so many details remain unanswered with Danny Jones
