For those asking, this isnt an anime, it's Legend of Luo Xiaohei 2, the second movie that's a prequel to the Chinese webseries of the same name! There's also 2 manhua series to read along with it the fights and world building are consistently good

This chineese studio with each movie. Makes better animation than most of the japanese anime industry right now. America doesn't compare to either atm since they want to focus on kid first animation. I need Japan to relock in. We used to have so many shows with this quality.

What does it mean for an animation to "hide something with cuts?" What was meant to be hidden? There are many cuts in this clip.

The camera refuses to look away. Full weight, readable motion, and actual plane physics mixed with pure chaos this is the kind of uninterrupted action most productions are too scared (or under-budgeted) to attempt. Absolute masterclass.

The legend of hei has so many peak scene

One great thing about Chinese anime is that they don’t like silly characters, so even the extras are sensible and know what they should be doing in their best interests. Usually the pilots and passengers will be panic and shouting as hell, but not here, that's brilliant.
