Cooking a new area named the Drowned Hearth for the game I was working on. Also based on the feedback I got I made movement a bit faster. Next will focus on making combat feel faster as well.

It's dawning on me that the combat in this prototype is not bad at all.

Combat so far doesn't feel great. It really is just mashing square. Spider-Man is kind of the same thing, but at least he's quick and nimble, which made combat feel more free flowing. Here, it feels heavy and clunky. Also the camera is so bad, it makes it hard to keep focus.

Now let’s talk about the combat in Black Flag Resynced and let me tell you this: it’s potentially the most promising combat system we’ve ever had in an Assassin’s Creed game. As I mentioned before, during my preview session I focused much more on the stealth experience, but I still managed to give you a small glimpse of just how good the combat system actually is. Watch here:

We can use unarmed combat in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced during the tavern fight scene. The developers also hinted that both hidden blade combat and unarmed combat could be added in the future, depending on player feedback.

Weight isn’t just stats! Boost jumps feel completely different depending on weight class. Different animations, speed, and timing in combat. But all create the same opportunity. Unexpected attack angles that force enemy reactions. #Mecha #indiegame #CodeRapid
