OpenAI is building its AI into humanoid robots. The company just invested in Figure and signed a collaboration agreement to develop next-generation AI models for robots. Embodied AI is coming in 2024. But there's more: Figure also raised $675M at a whopping $2.6B valuation (while only being founded in 2022!) On top of OpenAI, new investors include Jeff Bezos, NVIDIA, Microsoft, Intel, OpenAI, and more.

Musk explained that humanoid robots improve through three exponential trends multiplied together: digital intelligence, AI chip capability, and electromechanical dexterity.
