Google’s new Agent2Agent protocol is a key step toward a future of AI Agent interoperability. No single tool has all the data a user or business needs for most workflows, so we need Agents to be able to talk to each other. Salesforce will have AI Agents that understand the inner workings of CRM, Workday will have AI Agents that understand HR workflows, Box has AI Agents that understand content and documents, and so on. It’s easy to conceive of a world where we have tens of thousands of these tool Agents and then billions or trillions of customized Agents that are extensions of those. So openness becomes key. Workflows need data from multiple systems to complete the task — like a sales report that needs documents and CRM data or an HR task that needs HR policies and employee details — and that’s where A2A comes in. This protocol gives AI Agent providers a way of talking to each other and simplifying the way that Agents communicate, understand each other’s capabilities, and so on. It’s great to see more interoperability, along with MCP, emerging in the AI space right now, as this will define the future of most IT stacks.

Unity shipped NEW official plugin for AI agents. They released it for Claude Code, but of course I tested it with Codex CLI. GPT-6 is better now😁 Setup got quicker: it's on the Codex marketplace too, one command to hook up. You still install the package with the CLI inside Unity, the simplification is on the agent side. I've been on a custom Unity MCP for months, so I wanted to see if the official become better. It did improved. My test setup: Unity MCP + Blender MCP together. Unity shipped NEW official plugin for AI agents. They released it for Claude Code, but of course I tested it with Codex CLI. GPT-6 is better now😁 Setup got quicker: it's on the Codex marketplace too, one command to hook up. You still install the package with the CLI inside Unity, the simplification is on the agent side. I've been on a custom Unity MCP for months, so I wanted to see if the official become better. It did improved. My test setup: Unity MCP + Blender MCP together. If your MCP server has dozens of tools, it’s probably built wrong. You need tools that are specific and clear for each use case—but you also can’t have too many. This creates an almost impossible tradeoff that most companies don’t know how to solve. That’s why I interviewed my friend Alex Rattray (Alex Rattray), the founder and CEO of Stainless. Stainless builds APIs, SDKs, and MCP servers for companies like OpenAI and Anthropic. Alex has spent years mastering how to make software talk to software, and he came on the show to share what he knows. I had him on Every 📧’s AI & I to talk about MCP and the future of the AI-native internet. We get into: • Design MCP servers to be lean and precise. Alex’s best practices for building reliable MCP servers start with keeping the toolset small, giving each tool a precise name and description, and minimizing the inputs and outputs the model has to handle. At Stainless, they also often add a JSON filter on top to strip out unnecessary data. • Make complex APIs manageable with dynamic mode.
