This is a subject you don't hear much about. Great interview and very informative.

Subtitle these videos homie, and watch the engagement 🚀

Thought this was Jordan Peterson at first

Agreed 🫡

I asked, and you answered lol. Thank you Andrew. Excited to go watch this episode and see what Dr. Conti lays out. Narcissism is so much more pervasive in our society than most people can appreciate, and it’s something we need to better educate general society on. I’m hoping that we can find a better modality to identify and diagnose NPD, because, although there is no cure, society would be much better off if more Narcissists and their unwitting victims were able to seek quality treatment, which is also scarce today.

I watched Ordinary Men last evening on Netflix. I was struck by the contagion of bad behaviour. I was struck by what David Livingstone Smith calls psychological essentialism, the thought process that enables us to tolerate watching or participating in harm. I was also reminded of Amy Bank’s work with the CARE brain pathways and Matthew Lieberman’s work on social neuroscience. All that fits together for me to drive this phenomenon. Like, let’s look at Richard Bilkszto. A hundred people I think it was sat in the DEI session and watched him get bullied abused and they felt awful and they didn’t do anything. It was declared workplace bullying by workplace safety. He took his life in July. People chose to sit and do nothing even though it felt awful. That blows me away every time I think on it. When I was beaten on a transit bus in 2018 and bus load of people watched, the watching and doing nothing felt worst than the violent attack. For what that’s worth.

Is it just me that thought that was Jordan Peterson?

Super interesting, you continue to host fascinating guests on the show. So good!

Thank you for sharing such a valuable information.

Hm, well said.
