What that company has done for the last five years is to go get power contracts that are mid-term and long-term at attractive prices. Before they do anything else, they get the power contract from the government. Bitzero is a power play and it's one of my larger holdings in infrastructure.

People misunderstand Bitcoin. At the right power cost, electricity is more valuable than the coin itself. When you control infrastructure and energy, you can choose: lease the power or mine Bitcoin. Either way, it works. At Bitzero , our cost to mine is far below market price, that’s real cash-flow logic, not hype. Until Bitcoin is fully regulated and institutions step in at scale, this is how value gets captured. And as for the rest of the coins? Institutions have no reason to own them. None.

It is clean, extremely energy-dense, and anyone who opposes it while claiming to want a cleaner future is in a cult. Small modular reactors are safer, cheaper, and faster to build than traditional plants. The new deal between America, Japan, and Korea to advance nuclear technology is excellent. It strengthens energy security and reduces reliance on oil and coal while competing with China. This is what serious countries do. They build advanced technology and move forward. Third-world nations stay in squalor and complain. We love to see real progress.

A major gas field in the UK could supply over 10% of the UK's energy, but that gas isn't destined for the grid. The plan instead is to extract it on site, burn it in a local power plant, and use that electricity to mine bitcoin. The energy will be consumed at the source, because that route is simpler and more profitable. Taxes, regulation and grid constraints all add friction. The gas could power homes. It isn't. Because burning it on site makes more money. That is a damning indictment of UK energy policy.

When I met the management, they had a different strategy. They basically said whether it's crypto, whether it's bitcoin mining, whether it's an AI data center, it all starts with one common denominator: power. So their strategy was to go and find power contracts that are very attractive in countries where there's an abundance of power, such as Norway and Finland. Where they're paying very small amounts, and then they build to order. I really like this investment in terms of the infrastructure of my whole crypto portfolio. To me, Bitzero is a power company with very attractive contracts.
