My 2012 3.0D4D hilux with 310 000km is still running like new bakkie. No engine overall, gear box is still original. I never slept or had a breakdown on the road due to mechanical problems. Toyota will never disappoint you. Toyota waya waya for me

Kia is also right up there, especially models from 2012 upwards.

A 5 year old engine has definitely not ticked the reliability box, in my world a 5 year old car is still relatively new

I’m on my 2nd Mazda (both bought new) and i have to say i have never had any issues with the brand 10/10
