The Fluoride Deception - 2004 Fluoride is yet another example on an endless list of many showing how industry has completely captured regulatory institutions and allowed criminal corporations to poison our environment with an obscene toxin, and then manufacture science to tell us it's for our benefit and that we actually need it. The only argument justifying the use of fluoride in our water is that it prevents cavities (which it doesn't), and even if it slightly did, the risk of neurological damage and reduction in IQ far outweighs any of the supposed benefits. Adding it directly to the water that people cook with, shower with, or drink, is categorically insane on every level with the currently available science, and the fact that the water fluoridation practice still continues in most US cities is a testament to how negligent and malicious our government is, and how they don't actually care about the science, just the same as with vaccines. It's almost as if they want to lower intelligence and IQ because you become far easier to control and subjugate. Even worse, when you begin to understand the synergistic toxicities between aluminum and fluoride in the brain and the aluminofluoride complexes that can result from the continued exposure to both toxins, you begin to get an understanding of why there are so many people in the US who are still sleep walking into oblivion, staring at the shadows in the cave and thinking that they're real. So here are some facts from the Fluoride Action Network about it's neurotoxicity that hasn't stopped the government from poisoning our water supplies. 2006: The National Research Council published Fluoride in Drinking Water, the most authoritative review of fluoride’s toxicity. It stated unequivocally that “fluorides have the ability to interfere with the functions of the brain and the body.” 2012: A Harvard-funded meta-analysis found that children ingesting higher levels of fluoride tested an average 7 IQ points lower in 26 out of 27 studies. Most had higher fluoride concentrations than in U.S. water, but many had total exposures to fluoride no more than what millions of Americans receive 2017: A National Institutes of Health (NIH) - funded study3 found that every milligram per liter (1 mg/L) increase in fluoride in pregnant women’s urine – about the difference caused by ingestion of fluoridated water4 - was linked to a reduction of their children’s IQ by an average 5-6 points. Leonardo Trasande, MD, a leading physician unaffiliated with the study, said it “raises serious concerns about fluoride supplementation in water.” 2019: A Canadian study10 found a nearly 300% higher risk of ADHD for children living in fluoridated areas. This reinforced earlier studies linking fluoride to ADHD in Mexico (2018)11 and the U.S. (2015). 2019: Another NIH-funded study in Canada found that babies fed formula mixed with fluoridated water averaged 6 IQ points less than those mixed with non-fluoridated water. Losses of non-verbal IQ were even more serious, an average of 13 points 2023: The National Toxicology Program’s draft scientific review14 documented 52 out of 55 studies linked higher fluoride levels with lower IQs. Agents: Quick thoughts & questions on how they operate, their potential, and their limitations A Few Observations - ▶️"Book me a hotel" or "pull historical financials" are already (mostly) solved problems!! Agents can do a ton of tasks right now—like parsing public company press releases and navigating capture key info & complete bookings accurately. However, for more complex navigation flows, the tech still needs some work - but I'm very confident it’s essentially a solved or solvable challenge. ▶️Accuracy & Speed - The key metrics and agents should optimize for. ▶️Lower Build & Migration Costs It took me two minutes to build a new website (link: This is great for consumers—more choices, lower switching costs. Companies will increasingly compete on the quality of their products and services. ▶️Agents vs. Automation tools: The more I think about it, the more I realize that most “agents” are really just automation tools—kind of like how most robots🤖 are just machines lol ❓A Few Key Questions—Would Love Your Thoughts! ❔Remote Servers & Logins In many cases, we’ll want agents to act on our behalf (e.g., log in to to cancel an order). How will platforms like respond? Many websites may block remote servers for security. Is there a technical workaround? ❔Agent Generalization Do we need to train agents on each environment separately, or can one solution handle multiple sites and systems? This seems similar to RL/post-training challenges in AI research. Example: It's unclear to me whether $Devin was specifically trained on environment? ❔Frontend vs. Backend infra for agents to run on I had doubts about Anthropic's "Computer Use" feature, which seemed to run on the frontend, basically remotely controlling my computer so I couldn’t use it at the same time. This should deliver the highest accuracy, but it’s questionable how practical it really is. (Ref: It seems def possible for agents to work quietly “in the background” (like Devin) rather than remotely controlling a user’s PC, but how much accuracy are we sacrificing? A few $Devin test cases that got me thinking: 1⃣Pulling $META's MAU and DAU (1Q21–3Q24) into Excel (video attached) Took Devin 11min - it sent me back an Excel with 100% accurate data. This case was pretty tricky because $Meta changed disclosures and stopped reporting MAU/DAU after 4Q23. Devin didn’t hallucinate data for post-4Q23—it simply didn’t provide it! It really shocked me to see $Devin navigating $Meta's investor relations site (I didn't tell it to find the numbers there), opening each quarterly earnings report, and extracting MAU/DAU like a diligent intern. -> This confirms $Devin (and similar agents) can already accurately “read” screens. 2⃣Booking Hotel (video attached) Devin took 5 minutes to book the InterContinental NYC on after asking for my credentials. From $Devin's workspace, I could see it filling in the correct fields and making the right selections—fast and accurate overall. Interestingly, $Devin didn’t supply all the required information on the first attempt and got some error messages, then retried until it succeeded. It’s unclear whether Devin had been specifically trained on interface or simply learned to adapt on the fly. 3⃣Canceling the Booking This part was even more interesting. While booking didn’t require me to log in, canceling did—so $Devin had to access my (likely via a remote server) account using my Gmail credentials. It successfully canceled the reservation. I wonder how websites will handle future “remote” logins. Notably, Google blocked $Devin’s direct attempts to log in to Gmail when I specifically requested it. 4⃣Booking from Official Hotel Sites I asked Devin to book InterContinental NYC and Four Seasons Boston via their official websites. It made progress but encountered technical hiccups when trying to select the check-in/check-out dates. Insights from Scott Wu on Invest Like the Best: 1/ Self-Driving Cars as the First “Real Agents” Driving requires near-perfect accuracy (99.999%), making it much more demanding than digital or coding agents, which can tolerate more errors. What should the new administration do to support healthcare entrepreneurs? A few weeks ago I sat down with Dan Crenshaw , who sits on the House Subcommittee for Health, to discuss ways our government can make it easier to build in healthcare. We’re at a crisis point and need the private sector to improve productivity: more health outcomes with less labor and cost. Here are a couple of my ideas. What did I get wrong? And what else should be a priority? — Streamline Licensure, Credentialing, and Enrollment Telemedicine companies who want to treat patients across state lines are hamstrung by rules requiring providers see patients only in states where they have obtained licensure. In my eyes a doctor is a doctor: we should seek to recognize licensure from one state to another. Meanwhile, every high growth healthcare startup burns tens of thousands of dollars on every newly-hired provider – paying salary while waiting for slow credentialing and enrollment processes with payer organizations. What if we could create a national clearinghouse for credentialing and enrollment with a 1-week SLA? Such a change could improve the capital efficiency for innovative new companies. Reimbursement Reform For AI Time-based reimbursement codes (e.g. 99203 - New patient office visit, 30-44 minutes) require providers to spend a fixed amount of time on a visit in order to bill a code. But what if AI can enable a doctor to complete the visit more quickly? There’s no incentive for labor-saving innovation like every other part of the economy. This is silly! Let's align codes with value creation, not labor input. In general, we must create clear pathways to reward AI in care delivery – we have hundreds of AI companies already slashing administrative costs across the healthcare industry, but precious few success stories on the care delivery side. When software can complete a service described in a code (e.g. a diagnostic assessment), it should be eligible for reimbursement like a person. And while we need to ensure a quality and safety bar, we should not allow obviously-conflicted physicians’ groups to make determinations about what that bar is. Eliminate Unfair Preferences For Nonprofits Nonprofit organizations are not inherently more virtuous and better stewards of patient and taxpayer interests than for-profit businesses. And they are almost always run less efficiently than private sector equivalents. From Medicaid coverage to specialized programs like PACE, we should eliminate both explicit and implicit preference for nonprofit organizations and put them on a level playing field with entrepreneur-run startups. Taxpayer-funded healthcare should support the best and most effective provider groups, not the best-connected. Improve Interoperability to Support Healthcare IT The 21st Century Cures Act was signed into law at the end of 2016. In spite of its noble goal to require EHRs to expose an API and enable access to patient data, I still hear plenty of complaints from entrepreneurs about how difficult it can be to get data in and out of EHRs to build new AI applications. We need to investigate the state of play in interoperability: and find regulatory or statutory solutions that will make life easier for health IT startups. — I continue to be excited about the potential of value-based care – as long as models are constructed to provide strong incentives for true productivity improvement through care model and technology – and would like to see continued support for VBC across Medicare and Medicaid. One specific idea would be to revive CMMI’s Geographic DCE model – which (although canceled by the Biden administration) in my eyes could do a lot of good for Medicare beneficiaries across many rural geographies. When they push real technology to the top, liquidity follows it. That is the thread we keep pulling on this channel. The projects that last are rarely the loudest ones. They are the ones solving an infrastructure problem so quietly that most people only notice the chart. Harry Dry is the best copywriter I know. He's built a 130,000-person newsletter teaching people how to do it, and by the end of this interview, you'll be at least a Green Belt in copywriting. Some of his rules for writing: 1) A great sentence is a good sentence made shorter. 2) Writing great copy begins with having something to say in the first place. 3) Copy is like food. How it looks matters. 4) Since the look of copy matters so much, don't write copy in Google Docs. Write it in Figma (so you can write and design at the same time). 5) Kaplan's Law of Words: Any word that isn't working for you is working against you. 6) You know a paragraph is ready to ship when there's nothing left to remove. It's like a Jenga tower. The entire thing should collapse if you remove something. 7) Make a promise in the title so the reader knows exactly what they're going to get if they click. Then, deliver on the promise. 8) The three laws of copywriting: (1) Make it concrete, (2) make it visual, and (3) make it falsifiable. 9) Make it concrete: Don't be abstract. For an example, say you're writing about habits. Don't talk about "productive routines." That's abstract. Write about "waking up at 6am to write" instead. It's concrete — and much more vibrant. 10) Make it visual: People see in pictures. This is why instead of memorizing card numbers directly, world memory champions memorize cards by turning them into pictures and then back to cards. 11) Make it falsifiable: When you write a sentence that's true or false, you put your head on the chopping block, which makes people sit up in their seat. 12) When has a falsifiable statement resonated? Galileo got sentenced to a decade of house arrest for saying that the earth spins around the sun. That's a falsifiable sentence. But nobody would've done anything if he'd said that the earth has a harmonious connection with a celestial object. 13) Write with the delete key. Using fewer words lets you be more impactful with the words you keep. 14) The job of a sales page is to make a bold claim at the top. Then spend the rest of the page backing up what you've said... with a ridiculous amount of proof. 15) If your competitor could've written the sentence, cut it. 16) Good copy is differentiated. Here's an example: Elon Musk shouldn't write "The Cybertruck is the world's best truck." Ford or Dodge can write that sentence. But only Elon can write: "The Cybertruck is tougher than an F-150 and faster than a Porsche." 17) Some days, the writing comes easily. Some days, it takes sweat. The reader doesn't care if you wrote for two minutes, two hours, or two days. The ink looks the same. 18) Great copy reads like your customer wrote it. Talk to them. That's just an introduction to the copywriting philosophy of Harry Dry. I've shared the full interview below.
