That's the dynamics for how Osprey rotors work
If the rack-and-pinion motor fails then those motors are going to flip-flop all over. Might a jackscrew be more reliable? Or is this a case of: if that mechanism fails, it doesn't really matter that much *how* it fails?
valid point; every design has single points of failure somewhere, so we can't rule out a mechanism just because it has one. that said, the offset pivot here actually helps: if the rack-and-pinion lets go, the motors should tilt upward from thrust rather than flop randomly. still worth analyzing, though; assumption > analysis!
Easy with electricity, somewhat problematic with combustion engines, nightmare with jet.

Tons of extra mass for zero gain. Also the Heewing T-1 VTOL you show at the end is direct drive vectoring from the servos.

Bad design, huge trust in assembly position of rack, when I was dealing with serios production drones this point was very critical, differences in drones kill stability controls, try always with less possibilities to need factory mechanic calibration

This is the kind of video you save and actually use 📌 It’s a 90/90 hip mobility progression. You sit with both knees bent at 90° — front leg in front, back leg out to the side — then work through controlled rotations instead of bouncing around. Core of the session: settle into 90/90 so both hips are loaded train external rotation on the front hip and internal rotation on the back hip add thoracic rotation so the upper back turns instead of the low back use active lifts/holds so you’re controlling the hip, not just hanging in a stretch switch sides and progress the range only when it stays clean Uses: improves hip IR/ER, thoracic rotation, and active hip control so the lumbar spine stops compensating.
