🏃 Movement + Animation Update: Following feedback on the Official Trailer from December, we've been further tuning and polishing Stuffy's movement to make it more responsive and fluid. We hope this video is a promising glimpse of our much-requested progress in this area! What's New? - Stuffy is now... ~10% smaller, granting more playable space and control (to accurately fit inside of a 'layered' segment, land tight jumps, etc.) - Stuffy's run speed was increased, and with better acceleration. - Stuffy now reacts to 'extreme' rising and falling velocities, so they'll flail around dramatically when popping out of a Blink Bubble, bouncing on a Trampoline, or falling from big jumps. - We've updated and added all-new animations and the method of blending them. This includes animations for idle jump and land, running jump and land, quick turn while running, and more. - We've increased Stuffy's max jump height, strength, and overall weight. - We've also increased the global gravity for less floaty physics. - A more visible drop shadow was added to help judge landing. Why these changes? From our own testing and public feedback, we realized the physics were not properly tuned after a big refactoring made in 2023... resulting in a floaty look. Sadly, the fixes weren't investigated in time for the trailer! Our goal was always to improve the animation blending and movement style. Thanks to your feedback, we were able to pinpoint the biggest problems and begin fixing them. 💖 Our work isn't done! You'll notice some bugs in the video. 🐞 We plan to continue polishing the movement with time, including new animations that help Stuffy react to the environment even better. However, this is a step in the right direction and it feels much nicer to use (and look at)! You'll also spot some of the Wardrobe in action!show more

Introducing TopoTaxi: A completely new approach to real-time character motion. TopoTaxi opens a game-changing direction for real-time animation. Automatic Cuts! This is a drill we do multiple times every week because it’s a huge part of our offense. These are the automatic cuts we expect our players to make within our offense, and repetition builds the habits that show up in games. This year, we added T’s and Loops to get our players involved from the dunker spot and create even more movement, spacing, and scoring opportunities. The goal is simple: make the right read, trust the movement, and let the offense work.

Happy holidays! In our latest update about Character Mastery, we were thrilled to announce that due to your overwhelming feedback we re-prioritized this feature. And we're thrilled you did as it's looking awesome. We also mentioned that we were anticipating its launch sometime around the new year. While no major setbacks have occurred, we've decided to push Character Mastery to our February update to alleviate our team's pressure to include it in the upcoming January update and let them enjoy their holidays. This will also allow us to put in the extra polish and QA time necessary. This has been a huge year for all of us at Moon Studios. Launching Wicked in Early Access in April was quite the beginning. Most teachers in this country are regularly observed as part of their professional development. Two thirds of teachers do not think this has made a difference to their actual practice. Teachers do not understand the feedback they receive. They do not agree with the feedback they receive. They do not feel willing or capable to implement the feedback they receive. These things are facts, and they are both worrying and upsetting. And none of this is a secret. We all know it, we've all experienced it. When we asked Carousel Teaching users what topics they wanted us to make courses on, the most common response was "how to observe lessons and give feedback." Ben Rice and I are now MAD EXCITED to announce our How To Observe a Lesson and Give Feedback course. It's mega. We filmed a bunch of lessons, and we also filmed me observing those lessons. We deconstruct the science of observations, and the art of giving feedback. It's pretty damn innovative, and we're confident it will help teachers and leaders get better at these critical skills. Here's a Sneak Preview of a new idea coming to Origins: Creative! For a while now we've been improving some of our in-game building tools, to help with things like Expeditions and the Blueprint Studio. Similarly we've been spending a lot of time on finding ways to get furniture safely into the hands of new users. Creative is the culmination of some of that work, below is a prototype of some of the new behaviours. We're planning to run trial period that introduces new building mechanics (improved :furni, batch furniture movement, advanced furniture placement) and creative placement for all users, no subscription or payment required. What exactly will land in the creative category, and the limits given to our free players & club members is still a work in progress, but we'd like players to be able to jump right in and build something. Your existing furniture collection remains exactly as it is - elevating builds, and powering the economy. Creative furniture is limited, transient, and cannot be traded, held in your inventory, or interacted with at all outside of its placement in the room. A handful of restrictions will apply - such as being unable to use creative furniture in room building competitions with credit/rare prizes (more on how in the future), but we'd love to hear additional feedback or concerns both ahead of the trial, and as the trial launches!

We are so proud of Ernestos today. Our team have worked so hard in Aleppo. The reception from the people of Aleppo was heart warming and the numbers of animals we helped was just fantastic. We want to help more - but for this we also need your help. The amount of vaccines and medicines and food and anaesthetic we are going to need is immense. So we are opening a fundraiser on our website - - where you can buy a vaccine for just 10 euros and we have increased our Justgiving fundraiser for the same reason. 10 euros is such a tiny price to protect a cat or dog from dangerous viruses. Please will you help us to help more animals? Life has been very bad to them over the last years. Let's now show them the kindness of Ernestos and our amazing supporters.

People of Nabi Ball!❤️✌🏾 There is progress in this team👏🏾 The patterns need time to develop and for the team to be consistent in them. ■ The left side looked better with Mmodi and Shinga✅️ ■ We needed Duba to attack the box and be available more when these 2 attacked on the left. He dropped to the edge of the box very often. ■ Unlike in the 1st half, there was a better understanding between Shinga and the LW. When Shinga overlapped, Mmodi was willing to occupy the pockets and combine. ▪︎ When Shinga inverted, Mmodi was happy to hug the line and take his man on. This understanding was key in that side coming to life in the 2nd half. ■ What was also impressive was the ability for them to create good combinations and movements with Mdu and Duba on the offense from the left side. ■ Lilepo from the right was getting into good goal scoring positions when the left was creating in the 2nd half, but poor decisions on the ball and slow reactions were a problem. He should compete on the LW with Mmodi. ■ In the 1st half, it was Monyane and Vilakazi on the right, and 2nd half it was Mmodi and Shinga with some of our best moments in attack. Overall, you can see the general attitude of this team changing. They want to play now. They want to stay on the ball and create chances from a position of control, not rely heavily on transitional moments to create chances. We have shown signs that we can control and be patient, but when opportunities to attack comes we are relentless, and we use a lot of speed to enter the final 3rd. We just need to work on the combinations and finishing in the final 3rd. Like I said before, we are a work in progress, and we will get better only if we build on the positives and remove the negatives. Protagonist Tiki-taka is coming!❤️✌🏾

A new year brings feelings of hope and change. This coming year, we pray that Palestine is liberated, and that we have sovereignty over our land. A big part of indigenous sovereignty is our connection to our land. For Palestinian communities to build our own food and agricultural systems, and to put the farmers and consumers over markets and external control. In collaboration with our partners, Arab Protection for Nature, The Sameer Project invested in a local agricultural project growing 20 donoms of wheat. This can yield into 6-8 tons of wheat. The project was done on farmland in the Masdar area, Central Gaza, and cost us $5,450, which includes 9% commission. With hopes of entering the second phase of the ceasefire that will hopefully bring more stability and predictability, The Sameer Project is looking to collaborate more with APN on sustainable projects. In light of the names Anneke Lucas mentioned, like the former Canadian prime minister who is dead now, but is the father of the current one. It is being shared all over the internet now. Canadian accounts are posting this, and it is getting lots of attention. This is also a wake-up call for Canada. A lot of people in Canada are commenting on social media that they are shocked by this guy being named. But actually he was already mentioned by Cathy O'Brien in 1995, as being involved in these networks! See the video below. So there is corroboration between these witnesses. My goal in this budget process has always been to make sure we’re funding core, basic services in a balanced and disciplined manner. We know there is an inherent tension between asking people to pay rates, fees and taxes— and the issue of affordability. We want to make sure our city can provide the quality-of-life services that our residents deserve, but we also want to make sure we’re putting affordability first in our community. While I worry a lot about affordability, I also worry about the ability of our city to deliver quality services without more revenue. I strongly believe that if we're not making the kinds of investments we need to make in our people and our services, we will be managing decay in Austin in a very short period of time. This budget will not meet everyone’s concept of perfection. Truthfully, there are parts of the budget that I don’t like. That goes with living in a big, diverse city—different people will have different priorities, and we need to make room for all of us. Now, it is time for us to trust our voters. Voters have an opportunity in November to make a very important decision. From my perspective, the best part of this budget is that we fully fund our homeless strategy office. That was my greatest emphasis, and we've achieved it. It will make a world of difference in getting homeless people off the street in a very short period of time. I'm also very pleased with what we’ve added to funding for public safety, EMS, and wildfire prevention. A positive vote in the November tax rate election will allow us to pay for these needed services. And we make a significant investment in our parks. I look forward to a result that will be the best benefit of our community.
