Yesterday I posted about that river milk thing on all my social media platforms and many people abused me. I don't know why. My game and its sources of inspiration 🎃 I got a lot of work ahead of me but I've been learning so much and enjoying the process! I had to figure out the intent behind the game through animation first since I'm an animator, which is not a good workflow for gamedev😅 That's okay tho, now that I have a sense of direction I will be moving onto proper greyboxing now

Before & After… If anyone doubts the power of community action over the Environment Agency’s spineless inertia, you can walk to the outskirts of Ilford & walk along an ancient lost river to see for yourself. With 10 days of intense effort by dedicated volunteers, the river River Roding Trust managed to clean up & restore 250 metres of the Aldersbrook (about 1/3 of the brook). This allows a direct comparison between the parts of the brook we restored & those we haven’t got round to yet. These photos & videos are all from May 2026. The first is on a part of the Aldersbrook still to be restored & shows the old flood defences which are no longer needed & are killing the river but which the EA won’t remove unless we volunteers pay them £50,000 just for surveys. These defences have caused 2-3ft of stinking sludge & silt to build up over 70 years, such that the water in the brook is just a few centimetres deep. Combine with huge amounts of rubbish & and out of control knotweed infestation & the river ecosystem is essentially dead. A river that is older than England destroyed by official indifference. A hundred metres away, and it’s a different story. The rubbish & the invasive species (I sprayed the knotweed myself last autumn) are gone. The silt that used to clog the river is now spread on the banks & rapidly providing fertile ground for native plants. Instead of sludge, there’s 2-3ft of water, so fish have returned to the brook for the first time in decades, along with dragon flies, herons & a nesting moorhen. We river guardians knew our intervention would make a difference, but have been shocked at quite how quickly nature has come back. The restored Aldersbrook is now a rare jewel: pretty much the last fully natural tidal brook in London. The EA now has a choice. It can salvage some good from this situation & work with us to restore the remaining sections of the brook, or it can continue to do nothing. If the latter, river guardians *will* be back this winter to finish the job & the EA can see how well prosecuting volunteers for restoring a river without permission goes for them.

The scourge of illegal waste crime sweeping the country has now made its way to my river, with one of the largest illegal waste dumps in the country being discovered next to the River Roding at Stapleford Tawney, near Epping. Nobody knows what exactly is dumped on this 20,000 square metre site, or how much waste it contains, but it is certainly tens of thousands of tonnes. Shockingly, rubbish has been dumped on this site since 2024 and the Environment Agency (EA) has known about it for *at least* a year. Even now, however, the EA has not shut down the site by obtaining a legal closure order, physically blocking off the site and putting in CCTV monitoring. This means the site is wide open so anyone can continue to dump there. There is also zero monitoring of the environmental impact on the river, despite visible toxic leachate pooling on the surface of the dump & draining off it. The EA has apparently no plans to remove the waste from this site either & intends to let it pollute the environment indefinitely.

I played Baby Steps, but Using My Actual Legs The 2nd stupidest project and the least accessible hands-free gaming set-up I've ever done Using EMG (reading electrical signals from my muscles) I linked moving my right and left legs to moving his in the game. I heard this game was hard with a controller as it is but here we are It was SO TOUGH to start, but soon I feel like I got into a pretty good rhythm haha ... even though it took me HOURS This was so much fun and thanks to Upside Down Labs for introducing me to the kit :) What should I do or play next? #BabySteps Baby Steps - OUT NOW! Let's go London! 😘 All I've got is good memories of summer in the UK. From Party In The Park in the 90s to more recent adventures at Glastonbury and BST Hyde Park. For as long as I can remember I’ve had major UK specific items on my bucket list and I'm ticking them off one by one... can't believe at 60, I tick a REALLY big one off - Playing Wembley Stadium! And with someone I love and admire so much, Harry Styles. Londoners sign me up for Wimbledon viewing, Pimms o clock, horse riding, sunny days and long summer evenings with friends. For those who don’t know me, my name is April Huggett. I am from #Canada and a junior sergeant in the 93rd Brigade’s Alcatraz Battalion in #Ukraine. I am currently walking from Kyiv to Kramatorsk to raise awareness and funds for my soldiers. Today, I officially crossed the 100 kilometer mark. Now I am looking forward to some much-needed rest while I wait out the worst of the sun and the possible rain. I found shelter beneath a bridge, and while it may have its ups and downs, right now I am simply grateful to have found a safe place to stop. I am feeling optimistic, proud, and ready to keep moving. Q : How do Kim Seon Ho and Go Youn Jung feel about working together for the first time ? 👦 She's changed a lot in my eyes. To be honest before I met her on set when I only saw her on TV she looked so beautiful and perfect that I secretly thought she must be cold and hard to approach. But after actually getting to know her through this project I realized she's one of the kindest and most approachable people I've ever met. 👧 For me, my feelings didn't really change that much because I already saw him as a very talented actor. On top of that his acting style is something I personally really like. I had watched a lot of his previous works before and sometimes I even studied his acting techniques. When we actually got to work together he was just as good as I had imagined and he's also the same type of actor as me someone who prefers to enjoy the work rather than make it overly stressful. #CanThisLoveBeTranslated

She left a Blue state for a Red state “My husband and I made the leap of faith to escape our blue state of Washington, which has been the best blessing of our life and move to Wyoming — I've realized is since moving here, you don't realize how crazy this toxic bubble that you live in for so long, because it's such normalcy, until you actually are able to get away from it and get out of that bubble and see how insane everything really is” “Living in Wyoming — It's Sunday today. Everything is closed. People are doing yard work, spending time with their family, going to church — it's the way that it's supposed to be, in my opinion. It's the way that it's supposed to be. Everybody here is hardworking neighborly. It is just such a different pace of life. Don't realize how toxic of an environment you're living in. This is the moral of the story. And I swear, moving out of a blue state into a red state is now becoming like my personality because it's soul-giving. I watched Daylyt battle Philly Swain on KOTD! I've literally been tapped in with him basically his whole career, so let me just say from the bottom of my heart I appreciate TF out of the shout out! I been watchin Day since before anyone knew me, so havin a platform big enough to get a shout out now is CRAZY full circle moment to me. Im so proud of Day and all the rappers for the look they gettin and moment they created. No matter who you got winnin, this was GREAT for hip hop. I'm excited to hear music from everyone in the future. Joey album comin and hopefully RAY, AZ, Reason, Day etc. got more coming too cuz we ready! TO THE BATMOBILE!

the ganges is a powerful force... i remember this day clearer than most days in my life. i got sucked down into the deepest parts of the river valley, so deep there was no blue, no surface, no water.. just darkness. pitch black. when you’re that deep you curl into a ball and cover your head so you don’t get knocked out on jagged rock... no life vest, just me and the current. every time i saw nothing but black another wave smashed me into a rock and launched me up just long enough to breathe, then back into darkness. at the deepest points my lungs were empty and my body froze... at one point i gave up. said bye to myself. gulped river water and sank deeper, eyes closed. right when i was done i got pushed up one last time and heard my friend screaming to swim to the beach... too late, i was dead center of the current. people on the shore yelling my name. my body was empty, not even enough energy to paddle. i saw a huge rock and reached out, it swept past me but i caught it with two fingers. the river pulled my legs south while i dragged my body up. somehow i clawed one foot onto the rock... only my face made it up. i felt warm and wet, thought i pissed myself, but it was blood pouring down my body. i couldn’t move, just laid there... gravity pinned me onto knife-shaped rock cutting deeper. voices yelling and then blackout. an hour later a motorboat came up the river. my friend argued with the pilots and finally said fuck it, i’ll pay whatever... my eyes were filled with blood. i didn’t want to negotiate. i wanted to survive. people come to the ganges to die, to be burned to ash and returned to it... i went there to be born again. my body burned in the sun for weeks, bruised and bloodied, barely able to walk. a hostel cleaned my wounds, gave me meds. i almost lost a limb to infection, but i survived. second life... new reason to live with purpose. this sunset feels like a homecoming. days end but life keeps moving... live hard. take risks, maybe not this risky. show up every day. put your whole body and heart on the line. you’re gonna win. my full set from rishikesh is out now
