#Ukraine/#Russia 🇺🇦🇷🇺: I noticed a new version of the 🇺🇦#Ukrainian MT-LBu redesigned for APC. The vehicles have undergone a complete overhaul, getting additional armour on the sides and rear of the vehicle, new rubber mudguards, baskets for crew stuff, Tucha smoke-grenade launchers and an interesting new turret. This is a 14.5x114mm KPVT machine gun remotely controlled from inside the vehicle, fitted with a protective shield and electro-optics. Six of these vehicles can be seen in the video. I managed to contact the author of the video, but I did not get a reply, so we do not know what this new modification is named or what it is called. An email sent to An Taoiseach Simon Harris TD this morning. I’ll keep you all posted if I hear back ❤️ Hi Simon, I am writing to you as an incredibly concerned parent of an 8.5 year old boy, Harvey. Harvey has Spina bifida and scoliosis which in itself is challenging, but when those conditions are coupled with a lack of access to therapy, a hospital that is potentially misappropriating funds, and incredibly long wait lists for urgent and life changing surgeries, then it becomes impossible to adequately care for your child. Harvey had an Xray in January 2024 that showed his scoliosis curve is at 110°, if you have read in to scoliosis then I am sure you are aware how this is at a point where it is detrimental to his health and quality of life. Harvey was under Connor Green and was listed for urgent surgery in February 2022 after repeated pneumonia infections, 30 months later he is still only on the surgical list under Connor Green as he does not have a surgeon willing to operate. The task force you hold in such high regard has not made contact with my family, nor is there any details online of how to contact them to enquire as to when your child will finally be treated. You continually tell families like ours that you care, and you have been promising to fix this since 2017. 2017 was the year we were told that Harvey’s ribs were crushing his lungs and controlling his scoliosis was life and death. Here we are in 2024 and nothing has changed except we now have a surgeon under investigation, longer wait lists, more children waiting, a still not complete hospital, and funds not being spent as intended and no answers yet as to where the money *we* fought for went. You say you care but your actions have left us feeling anything but. We as a family also have a child facing open heart surgery next month and this is just more stress and concern that we do not need. Another summer has just passed and Harvey has spent the majority in his room, often needing to go back in to bed because he is in so much pain. Is that the life you think the children of Ireland deserve? Would you accept that if it was your own child? Can you imagine being told your child has a potentially life threatening condition but that it will be years before it would be treated? We need actual action, not more empty promises. You need to engage with all advocacy groups, not just those that are currently working with the task force. There are very valid reasons why the other groups have chosen to not engage and they need to be heard. We need contact details and open dialogue with the task force so that we can actually feel its existence. We need answers as to where the funding for scoliosis and spina bifida services went. Report on Recently Abducted Alawite Women in 2026 This report was prepared by Syria Justice Archive Syria Justice Archive following contact with a group of human rights activists, the families of the girls, and community sources. 1. Mariam Faez Sultan, Age 16 Abducted on January 9, 2026, in the Mezzeh area of Damascus (she lives in the Mezzeh 86 neighborhood, which has an Alawite majority, within the broader Mezzeh district). After contact with her family, her father confirmed she had been abducted. Strangely, he offered thanks and praise to the “General Security” after learning that the caller belonged to a team working with the UN Office of Investigations. Nevertheless, as of the writing of this report, March 8, 2026, the girl remains abducted. 2.Lana Al-Suleiman, Age 18 Abducted on March 1, 2026, in the Burj Al-Ghanum area in the city of Masyaf, Hama countryside. She was released two days later on March 3, 2026, and was compelled to appear in an interview stating she had not been abducted and had simply been at a friend’s house. It should be noted that our team and most documentation pages recently chose not to publish abduction cases, and that the girl appeared in posts on Facebook from her local area indicating she had been missing, yet none of the posts mentioned abduction. We were unable to contact her family. 3. Layal Ibrahim Abdullah, Age 25, Married Abducted on February 22, 2026, while traveling by public transport from the town of Slunfeh toward the city of Latakia to visit a doctor for a previously scheduled appointment. All hospitals were checked; she was not found. Layal was released on February 27, 2026. A documentation team contacted her family, who confirmed she had been held for four days, but refused to provide details, saying: “What matters is that she came back.” 4. Alma Elia Saleh, Age 14 Abducted at Karsana Square in the city of Latakia on March 4, 2026. After contact with her family, her mother was in a state of breakdown and confirmed that her daughter was missing, adding that they had filed a report with security forces. The girl was released one day later on March 5, 2026. Unofficial sources reported that the Coastal Police Station arrested the abductor and secured the girl’s release. 🔹Our sources confirmed that following a visit by the UN Investigation Team to Damascus, during which files on kidnapped Alawite women since 2025 were presented, the HTS-led General Security is now pressuring abductors to release the girls within days. This marks a shift from the previous pattern of denying abductions and shielding perpetrators. In several instances, units of the General Security or HTS factions were themselves involved in the abductions, as in the case of Abeer Suleiman from 2025 (cited as one example among others), who has not been released to this day. At the time of her abduction, General Security personnel in the city of #Safita contacted the abductors in Idlib to warn them that her family had filed a complaint — less than half an hour after her father and brother had done so. Over the past year and continuing to the present, dozens of Alawite women abducted since 2025 remain unreleased. The total number of abduction cases from 2025 exceeds 80 documented cases. One case from 2026 (Mariam Sultan) also remains unresolved. All cases are fully documented.

im sorry but this is a very good example why detailed, full of context leaks from “extras” and randos on set are fake or full of shit in 99% of cases… if an actor cant place a scene based on dialogue, I promise you an extra that saw 30 seconds of a scene (if) can’t draw context from it and tell you what is going on in the episode/season/with characters. you can get: outfits, maybe a line or two if they even manage to hear it and actually remember it, what they THINK is going on and if they’re composed enough to pay attention to a clapperboard and ADs, maybe an episode and a scene number (that is usually not the case tho)

It is disappointing to see former Health Minister Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng Ocero hugging John Patrick Amama Mbabazi at a time when the public is being urged to limit close contact and observe safety protocols. Public officials should be exemplary, not just in words but in actions. The discourse around the Eze penalty last night is fascinating. If nothing else it provides Arteta with an excuse as to how his team has been hard done by and robbed. He loves excuses. It’s a fascinating situation because I actually think the right outcome was reached albeit through the wrong process. Once given on the field under the current rules it shouldn't have been overturned. For that Arsenal can feel aggrieved. Don't forget Arsenal were the beneficiaries of an incredibly soft penalty in Leverkusen. It wasn’t overturned. I find the attached video interesting because it clearly shows how minimal the contact is. The defender doesn’t pin Ezes foot to the ground. Doesn’t smash into it. It brushes down the side of it. It’s where the still pictures of it were wildly misleading. Are we really saying that contact such as that is worthy of a penalty? What’s clear in the video is that Eze has absolutely made the most of the slight contact. I love the straight left leg. A very natural position. It’s a brilliant dive and normally it would have been rewarded. By saying that is a stone wall penalty all we are doing is encouraging such theatrics and cheating. Whenever you hear the words “that was clever” by a commentator they are intimating the player has cheated/made the most of it. We complain about refs all the time but what chance do they have when players are doing stuff like this. Until players are punished properly there is no disincentive for players to keep doing this stuff. I also find it fascinating when you have a foot brushed like this. When you compare it to all the holding/pushing/grappling at other times. Sometimes a contact sport and others not. Is this really what football has become?

How can a 99% accurate medical test give you a 9% chance of having the disease if it comes back positive? 🤔 If you are in medicine this is the SINGLE most important diagnostic testing concept to know. Welcome to the difference between specificity and positive predictive value. Sensitivity & specificity are fixed test properties. These do not factor how common a disease is (prevalence) Positive Predictive Value (probability a positive test reflects having a disease) factors in prevalence and is actually more important to clinicians than sens/spec. It is harder to figure out though because we need to have a gestault for how prevalent a disease is for the EXACT patient we are seeing. If you have very low prevalence, even with a great test, most positives are false positives. This is why screening low-risk patients can result in many false positives and harm To master this, just play with the calculator yourself and you will see!!!!👇
