It’s heating up here in Tsavo, which means Mr Bean has entered a phase of rest and relaxation. He finds an inviting patch of shade, squeezes himself into position, and lazes the day away. Keeper Peter is kind enough to hand-deliver Bean’s bowl of milk, so as to not interrupt his zen. Rescued as a days-old orphan, Bean has taken our Kaluku Unit by storm. Even as a tiny piglet, he had a larger-than-life personality — and it’s only getting bigger! More about our conservation mission:

28 seconds. That's all it takes for Tytan to finish his delicious bottle of specialist formula milk. We hand feed this nine-month-old orphan black rhino milk on a schedule throughout the day. Come nightfall, he enjoys a bounty of leafy vegetation in a night time stable, which keeps his tiny tummy full overnight. Milk feeds, a dedicated Keeper presence, veterinary care and plenty of love - these are several of the key ingredients needed to raise him so that, when he's older, he can return to the wild. As His ministry was about to conclude, He demonstrated reverence and love for her as He hung on the cross. As each of us learns from and follows His example, we likewise will show love and genuine appreciation for our mothers and for the women who mean so much to us.

When he hears his specialist formula milk being prepared outside, he stretches his trunk up to his Keeper's bunk bed and snatches the blanket right off the sleeping man. If this is not effective, he moves on to Plan B. Somehow – a skill most elephants of his age have not yet mastered – he balances on his hind legs and plonks his front legs on the edge of the bed, waking his Keeper with a trunk kiss. Kenderi is one of our older orphans, well on his way through weaning. His main diet is browse now, but milk feeds offer extra sustenance (and a moment of bonding with the Keepers he still relies on) as he continues to learn how to live wild. Milk carries him through this in-between stage. Milk carries him through this in-between stage, until the day he no longer needs a bottle at all. Today in Enugu State, Mr Peter Obi who was driving by, decided to stop and patronise road side fruit sellers. In the course of his transactions, he spoke with the road side sellers in his usual calm and friendly manner, leaving their faces beaming with smiles. Just as Mr Peter Obi was about to enter his vehicle, a man came running to him. The man said he had been looking for an opportunity to appreciate him for the immeasurable role he played in the success story of his wife. During Into the Sun, Taehyung was placing his hand on his heart and sending air kisses to fans. He was also looking for someone special to gift his jersey. Taehyung chose a little boy, and per op, big brother cried so happily for the little brother who got the jersey from Taehyung. People in the section celebrated and got a chance to touch a little piece of memorabilia. Taehyung has a beautiful heart filled with love. He finishes his tasty, nutritious lunch in a flash, before joining his friends at mud bath. In the 2022 drought, we rescued so many orphans from desperate situations. Over the past two years, it has been an absolute joy to see their big personalities emerge.
