It looks very different when your refrigerator stops running and your kids cannot sleep through a heat emergency. The mayor who built his campaign on standing up for working class neighborhoods just watched a working class neighborhood lose power while a celebrity wedding lit up Madison Square Garden across town. That contrast writes itself. Nobody needed to manufacture it. Good intentions do not keep a refrigerator cold. Reliable power does.
