He’s so ridiculously stupid. Price setting is based on many factors which do include R&D and manufacturing costs, and labor costs, and infrastructure costs, logistics costs, marketing costs etc. …Market research. Company pricing goals. Profit margins. Product positioning. Etc.

His point falls very flat when you look at the publishers that were making the most. ABK, EA, Ubisoft... All their franchises went to shit or died and are now constantly trying to get back to their Golden days lol. Them all making money has not led to many positives.

If base games are going to be $100…I can’t imagine what ultimate or Collector’s Editions are going to cost…I have a feeling ultimates will be $160 total and Collectors will be like $350-$450

I would argue companies making buckets of money stagnate. Don't fix what ain't broke. A company that isn't making profits is forced to diversify, innovate, change the expectations. When a company gets to comfortable then they fuck the consumer. The company hungry for you isberter
