My biggest problem with SwiftUI right now is how terribly under-performant it is. Apple’s most powerful iOS device ever, powered by the cutting-edge M4 chip, can’t do this layout animation without horrible choppiness and hangs.

By far the most unsafe driving by FSD HW#3 in my 8 year experience with it. Navigation gets confused and takes this left instead of the suicide lane next intersection. I was hoping it would slow down to a stop but it did not. The car to the right was thankfully paying attention and acted defensively to prevent an accident! Navigation is the biggest problem of FSD

WOW KIMI K3 ON MY MACBOOK PRO IS MIND BLOWING! I am getting side by side comparisons that I can’t believe. By far the most powerful model I have ever run on a laptop. It is easily better than ChatGPT 3.5 at just a 1 bit quantized and close to ChatGPT 5. It beats most Claude models. More soon!

First, let me clarify: This test has nothing to do with system animations—it measures app response speed, which is one of the most critical factors in determining whether an OS feels "fast." If you're not particularly interested in animations and don't consider them a priority, then touch responsiveness is arguably the single most important aspect of an operating system. In my comparison between One UI 7 and iOS 18.5, Samsung's response was slightly faster. But with One UI 8, the difference becomes staggering—it's now significantly quicker than iOS. The truth is, iOS has already lost its edge, but due to information asymmetry, many followers still believe it reigns supreme. Now, I'm looking to iOS 19 to see if Apple can reclaim some of its former glory.

Jacksonville County Sheriff T.K. Waters said the following in regards to yesterday’s tragic shooting: “The story is always about guns. People are bad. This guy's a bad guy. If I could take my gun off right now, and I lay it on this counter, nothing will happen. It'll sit there, but as soon as a wicked person grabs ahold of that handgun and starts shooting people with it, there's the problem. The problem is the individual." I agree with this 100%. But that also means we must prevent bad people from having easy access to the tools which help them commit these horrible acts. Do you agree?

My initial problem with Liquid Glass was that it was terrible for accessibility despite how beautiful it looks it certain places. There is literally only one way to solve this readability issue – make the glass frosted/opaque. And from the public backlash that Apple received it was pretty obvious that it was a matter of time before they made this change. The problem now is that when you make it opaque, it barely looks any different from iOS 18, yet it keeps eating up resources and draining your battery. 3 betas in, and I still feel like this design direction was a big mistake.

Assign 3 players most responsible for this play 1,2,3. This is a fun 1!!
