Just know a guy who knows a guy

Literally knowing someone can override any qualifications needed for the job. Mega bullshit honestly but here we are. 🤷

Like you'd be right here tweeting this if your Dad actually knew a guy

What a loser mentality is this

True but "My dad knows a guy" AND master's degree >>>

They must have done something good in their previous lives to deserve this.

now, outside of the 1%, nobody knows anybody AND degrees won't matter. The kids who will succeed in 30 years are ones with pro AI parents who get their kids curious about it early

Getting into a highly prestigious university will get you these connections.

Degrees are now meaningless and have overstated value. Even in the 18th century university was a bourgeois endevour and was mainly there for "higher education" in terms of culture, connections and of course knowledge. In this postmodern world however it's just paper.

Communication, networks are the key to everything, as long as they aren't misused

Unless you’re brown Then nepotism is just stinky

Yes, except for many Europeans it’s ‘not done’ to talk about money and business with friends. But def applies within families, esp finding jobs/funding startups for incompetent children 😂

Some are just trying to better themselves with the degree really congrats in the connections 😄

Correct

Internal referal >>>

Sometimes one strong connection can open doors that years of credentials can’t.

Most people do not have upper class connections. That is why you go to college, join clubs, make smart friends and develop your own connections that is actually high quality, maybe for a startup. You think you can make connections working at mcdonalds?

🥲 Corruption is only bad if I'm not involved

wait till you know a guy AND get a degree

Know a guy who knows a guy who knows a guy

What to do if you don't have any connections ?

Yea fuck the nepotism, fuck the nepo kids. we built our own empire w:o connections

Best flex

They can get you framed or killed too

it's so true my college friend got an internship through his father's connection, they're wealthy ass rich, my brother's friend got a job through his father's connection, so my adive is don't be good enough, be irreplacable.

It feels diff when you depend only on yourself

I dont have either

hell, yes these mf always have this chill and easy way out

i learned this too late

Real

@R0111ae

Can make those connections in uni.... so lol

@NEETOCRACY

Seen it happen this way for many. It's one way to succeed with moderate effort. Success in many jobs doesn't require high effort nor intelligence. I've also seen many succeed due to hard work combined with luck. But sadly, many who work hard never catch their lucky break.
