My interview on ITV's Good Morning Britain last week felt like an interrogation, but it shouldn't really have been that much of a surprise: The panel itself was a case study in the complicity of politicians and the media in scapegoating minorities.

You're an MP. All MP's get roasted at interviews.

Grow up. You wanted to be an MP and be in charge of us mere mortals. Baby

You were simply being held to account for the comments you make… just like every other politician. Cope harder and learn the concept of accountability.

Seriously? An elected MP complaining because they got asked questions about things people are concerned about. Get over yourself.

I went and watched that interview , you were treated with kid gloves, despite the fact that you were spraying libel left and right and never answering questions put to you. If you hadn't been a double minority you'd have been properly interrogated, as all politicians should expect to be. You have done nothing but complain since and behaved as if anyone who doesn't agree with you 100% , even when you are attacking them , is an islamophobic racist. You didn't come off well at that appearance - but your whiny whingeing behaviour since has been the very definition of cry-baby.

Below a part of the interview in question. Leaving aside Ed Balls' behaviour, it would be interesting to know why he is so reluctant to call an attack on a mosque "Islamophobic".

It's very unfortunate that the media and political class is complicit in demonising minorities. You would think that they would be bringing people together.
