My most controversial take:

This take shouldn't be controversial at all. Anyone with any sense of history knows this to be true. Western men were convinced through logic and reasoning that women deserve equal rights. Two things can be true, women deserve equal rights because they ARE equal members of society AND men had to be socialized into understanding and agreeing with this for it to become reality.
Well, that was refreshing. Clarity and eloquence, without a trace of resentment for the natural world and its peculiarities.

Almost like men aren't actually the bad guys the feminists make them out to be.

Thomas Hobbs was correct when he said "Covenants without the sword are but words and of no strength to secure a man at all."

Male benevolence is taken for granted by feminists. Until we revoke it. Sandwiches would be made so fast.

Correct, and just use recent history as an example. Before the islamic caliphate seized power, women in islam enjoyed much of the freedoms women of the west have today. It wasn’t until MEN reversed the freedoms women were “granted” in order to revert to their version of a “mostly peaceful” state of reality of which women have ZERO say!

I fundamentally agree. OTOH, you never met my grandma. Her husband beat her -- once. She said "oh, you beat me now." "But you gotta go to sleep sometime."

I feel like she's describing a very specific group of people, but liberals have formed a suicide pact to support those people.

We constantly witness its reversal and that its an illusion. It's there on paper, in legislation, and yet in court with all the proof in the world, the man's future and person will be taken as having more worth than the females.

Actually this is the same for ALL people. And rights weren’t given because of benevolence. We give people rights because that leads to prosperity. There is nowhere on earth that is a first world country that arbitrarily suppresses half the population. Because you cannot do that and be prosperous, free and safe. Either you can have prosperity and freedom for all or everybody is oppressed. So this nonsense that every living thing exists at the benevolence of men is just not accurate. Men are not gods, and it is dangerous to think so.🤷♀️

Oooh MJ their going to hate you for that one 😂 true as it is

Men have always cared about their sisters, their mother's & daughters. Women outnumber men, but the force of diplomacy has always been by men via initiative.

It's true, and a bit dangerous for a women to reveal this so clearly to the public at large. For people to hear and understand this threatens a paradigm shift that exposes the house of cards propping up the rights that women have. Women have equal rights in our society because of the consent of men and their sense of equality justice when women got granted those rights by men. It's been like this for so long that most people don't even think of it as optional. I had a similar paradigm shift; I'd always accepted the trope of "Women and Children first" without thinking why. I was shook from that paradigm by Karen Straughan's video essay "Feminism and Disposable Male" and haven't been the same since --

Boom! Thank you for your courageous voice! I’m sure you understand that you will stir rage in countless feminists, and yet you made this post anyway. What a powerful reality check!

You can thank us any time you want

The part that always gets left out is: Men won't force you independent women back in the kitchen. A lot of Men won't let you in our homes. It's the Price of Equality some people have 'fought' for. [shrugs]

All rights are given, protected enforced, or taken by the violence of benevolent men. Women and men benefit from this benevolence because there are still enough of them to maintain the system. Women and men still raise enough strong and masculine men and teach them to temper their violence that we don't notice the delicate balance our society sits upon. But that does not mean it will always be. Take these same men, deny them purpose, tell them they are worthless, and strip them of that benevolence and with enough critical mass they begin to push back--first in subtle ways, then in more obvious ways. Teach girls and boys how to respect each other because the differences between the two are not symmetrical. One possess the potential to destroy everything in his path, the other possesses the power to calm and guide him on the right path. But violence is the ultimate arbitrator of all. It takes strong and capable men to protect against the violence that equally strong and capable men are willing to commit violence. Women have an extraordinary duty and responsibility to help create the next generation of strong yet benevolent men. Our society cannot do it without you.

Women who grew up with equalities older women grew up without don’t realise they are not a given. Look at the history or Lebanon or Iran, where women were progressing culturally along Western lines in the 70s

🤣🤣🤣 No. All rights originate with natural law. Whether men or women like it or accept it is irrelevant.

Exactly. I've been saying this forever.

It's interesting that we live in a world where some people are so hesitant or unable to acknowledge how that world came to be. Not a wonder so many chesterton's fences get taken down and disaster ensues.

Yeah, basically weak, bitch men let you all do what you want, now everything is fucked. I blame men for allowing women to have unlimited freedoms. Men’s fault.

I agree with this take - women have historically and are currently being given what men allow them. So it's incumbent upon women to take active steps and measures to prepare for the moment men should ever decide differantly.

The most intense thrillers center around a kidnapped young woman. We don’t expect her to overpower the villain but to get a note out, to ask for rescue. In Afghanistan, there is no one to call. The rape victims in the UK had no aid. We definitely need the protection of good men.

Good stuff. I was a talk show host on public radio for 20 years. You are smart and refreshing. Please get a show and continue your thought journey. Wow.

Thank you! A version of this idea hit me like a ⚡️years ago, and I found it profoundly humiliating to think that women’s participation in the big wide world was thanks to and still depended on men.

If you say "natural", isolated from our human ability to reason, evolve, lift our moral standards, and experience what works best and then base our cultural and social contract on that, then codify those new basic principles in constitutional law, probably not no..

Just a thought, leave your car. Take a walk...

I love how you said that it is very well put 👏

Women also planted bombs and killed people... don't forget that part.

Lesbians convinced foolish women they didn't need men and now we are all well and truly fuked

Sad but true
