Most of those pills are coated so the contents don't get in touch with the mouth, throat, etc. You should always use the pediatric version for children, never dissolved pills. Some are coated for slow release, others are coated so they will not be digested in the stomach.

@bhargaviimani this is genuinely dangerous. Pills and capsules are designed to dissolve and release active ingredients at a specific rate for both safety and efficacy reasons. If someone did this with a slow release opioid they could easily overdose. Please delete this post. :(

Absolutely dont do this the tablets dosing profile is only accurate when taken whole. If you or your child cant take tablets get a liquid version of the medication.

Don’t do this, if it was meant to be liquid form, it would be prescribed that way. The form is for a reason.

That is so useless. You had a cup with water, just drop the pill in the cup and let it dissolve. You don't need to split the pill or do all those useless steps with a syringe.
