My perspective towards everything in life changed drastically after my Kashmir trip. Solo travel is never a lonely travel, it makes you confident, you meet so many people, it teaches you so many things which can’t be learnt by any other means. Start Travelling, Start Living.

Pahalgam is a place where you need to stay at least a day or two to explore all the places. They call it ABC, Aru Valley, Betaab Valley and Chandanwari. All the places are totally breathtaking. Roads are very scenic and we randomly stopped at many places and just sat there.

There are many offbeat places like Gurez Valley, Lolab Valley, Sinthan Top, Peer ki Gali, Shekpura village. Kashmir has lot more hidden heavens where people haven’t explored much. If you like less crowded places, then don’t miss these places.

There are so many places like this where you want to forget everything thats happening in your life and just want to live the moment. I was just sitting here and doing nothing, mesmerised with the view and the river sound. It was pure magic.

Best thing we did was, instead of spending time at touristy places, we trekked a bit and reached this place, overlooking the complete valley, spent time with local kids. This kid studies 6th grade, makes good money by charging to the people who wants to take a pic with his sheep.

When am in a place like this how will I miss an opportunity to make a reel. Tried imitating Sharuk’s signature move 😁

We wanted to visit the houses of local people who stay at remote places. Only way to reach them is trek down for an hour and take this wooden bridge. Their normal day today life itself is a big struggle for them. But Kashmiri people are so lovely people, they treat you so well.

During the complete trip, I hardly looked at my trades, never cared about where the market was moving, just by end of the day after reaching hostel will update the trading journal. We realise the importance of automated trading during such trips. Am so grateful for that.

Alfi, The one who plays Guitar is from Indonesia, started learning guitar recently but we made him play in front of all the people in Zostel, Nikhil who is from Surat started singing Tamil song with him. Both were totally into it, Nobody judges you here. You are just who you are.

The kind of people you get to meet when you travel teaches you a lot. I met George, 79 years old who started travelling around the world solo after this retirement. He proved age is just a number. Even at Zostel, every moment I spent there was so memorable.

It’s not about the place, it’s about the people you meet along the journey makes it more beautiful. You start learning more about yourself, even if did the same Kashmir trip in complete Luxury I would have not been this happy. All the people I met, made it more meaningful.

By reading,I was like ,i,m on this trip. Thanks 😊

Thank you so much. Felt like travelled with you. Missed these in my young age. God bless you.

Lovely thread 💟

Thnx man 😊

Great Thread kiruba..🙏🙏

Thank you so much for all details and nice pics👌👌👌 it was great to read.. Will go with family..... Zostel is good for family stay?

Yes, but mostly private rooms are limited in Zostel. Since most family prefer privacy, they tend to avoid hostels. But I have seen a 60 year old couple in our hostel, they said they specifically chose to stay in hostel because it made them feel a lot younger.

Total kharcha per person kitna hua wo bta dete to bhala ho jata 😏

"Absolutely! As Mark Twain famously said, 'Twenty years from now, you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So, throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor, catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore, dream, discover.'"🙂
