My phone just pinged me with an “on this day” memory from this day three years ago on 9/20/23. We were in Eagle Pass, TX and witnessed a mass illegal crossing of more than 4,000 illegal aliens crossing in one single spot in just two hours, leading to CBP... having to shut down the nearby international bridges & ports of entry. Fox News was the only network there. The only resistance offered was Texas military & DPS assets which had placed razor wire at the edge of the river, but the Biden Border Patrol cut through it and in one infamous case, even used heavy machinery to lift it out of the way so the illegal aliens could proceed into the U.S. A complete free for all that day - and it would get even worse three months later in December 2023 when the illegal crossings reached the highest ever recorded in U.S. history with more than 11,000 in a single day.show more

Illegal sewage outfalls are a major issue on the River Roding, as they are around much of the country. The EA has not brought any prosecutions for illegal sewage discharges on the Roding this century. In 2022, I discovered an illegal sewage outfall on the Aldersbrook discharging raw shit into the river. I reported it to the EA, who did absolutely nothing. Tyler Spry: There’s a video that’s gone around on the Internet when I was writing with V, James Essien and Sean Foreman. That video is not the making of any of the songs that made the album, but it was one of the most fun days I had in the studio with the guys. We were just jumping up and down, singing the songs. I think that it was one of the freest days we had in the studio, creatively. So I do hope that song gets to see the light of day.

Just wrapping up my 3rd annual 1:1 trip with my kid, what an incredible year. Tokyo and Shanghai. He planned the whole trip end to end himself, including the wrench he threw in ~4 hours out that we were going to go with completely empty suitcases, so we flew into Tokyo with just the clothes on our backs. Tokyo was amazing as always and we had no real agenda, we wandered around, bought clothes for the trip, ate Tsukemen every day, walked like 10km+/day, spent an evening at a Japanese version of a pc bang, and generally just enjoyed the city. Shanghai was totally different, his entire trip was centred around wanting to go see The International (TI15). We had camped out at midnight and tried to scoop tickets and they sold out in like 0.1s, and there was 0 reselling allowed. We tried literally everything we could to get them, emailed teams, coaches, announcers, everything and just like no luck for 2 months leading up to the trip. Two people responded SirActionSlacks and Will, and man were they amazing. Both went way out of their way to make the event incredible and to make a 12 year old loves dota have the time of his life. We met up with his friend who was also in Shanghai and just spent 4 days watching dota 15 hours a day in the arena lol. The event was insane, production quality A+, and it was one of the most insane TI finals of all time. Luckily we got to sneak in some time around Shanghai and wandered into some awesome dumpling shops, but ultimately the trip was amazing and he says the best he’s ever had of the 3. By far the best thing I do every year, and would highly recommend to any parent who has the opportunity.

He planned the whole trip end to end himself, including the wrench he threw in ~4 hours out that we were going to go with completely empty suitcases, so we flew into Tokyo with just the clothes on our backs. Tokyo was amazing as always and we had no real agenda, we wandered around, bought clothes for the trip, ate Tsukemen every day, walked like 10km+/day, spent an evening at a Japanese version of a pc bang, and generally just enjoyed the city. Shanghai was totally different, his entire trip was centred around wanting to go see The International (TI15). We had camped out at midnight and tried to scoop tickets and they sold out in like 0.1s, and there was 0 reselling allowed. We tried literally everything we could to get them, emailed teams, coaches, announcers, everything and just like no luck for 2 months leading up to the trip. Two people responded SirActionSlacks and Will, and man were they amazing. Both went way out of their way to make the event incredible and to make a 12 year old loves dota have the time of his life. We met up with his friend who was also in Shanghai and just spent 4 days watching dota 15 hours a day in the arena lol. The event was insane, production quality A+, and it was one of the most insane TI finals of all time. Luckily we got to sneak in some time around Shanghai and wandered into some awesome dumpling shops, but ultimately the trip was amazing and he says the best he’s ever had of the 3. By far the best thing I do every year, and would highly recommend to any parent who has the opportunity.
