my quick thoughts on thps3+4 restarts...

This seems like it's made for people who liked the idea of THPS, rather than people who played it pretty much constantly. I've been ripping it up on THPS4 on Steam Deck and it just feels like what I'm playing there isn't what they liked. It's for casuals/new players only.

I think this game for a lot of people will be a one and done anyways. It's cool to have a remake of 3+4 levels but if it's anything like 1+2, it'll get abandoned quickly. rethawed is the way to go if you wanna play thps in 2025

I feel the exact same way, which is why I'm so bummed because it didn't *have* to be like that. They need to consult with an old tXo forum dweller to lay out how deeply captivating the gameplay (especially online) *can* be. As it stands, its a summer fling for nostalgia sake.

exactly my throughs when I saw that interview, imo that’s also the reason they didn’t got Andy back to work on it, since they knew it would be dogshit and just rushed to milk some quick cash I bet for Zoo they didn’t animate one animal and it’s now just an empty old zoo now.

Another good reason to stick to the originals is the soundtrack

If Vicarious Vision had developed this game just like the first two, we would've gotten features like this and more. When I saw they weren't involved, I was worried the passion and dedication of the games legacy wouldn't be there..
