My thoughts on the 24 team Playoff

There is no spinning this. The fans hate it and don’t want it. ESPN wants it. Someone wants to destroy the SEC. Stop trying to destroy everything in America. 🇺🇸

12 team playoff was a bad idea. The playoffs in general was a bad idea. Those undefeated regular seasons meant something during bcs era. Bring back the bcs era. Bring back the meaningful bowl games.

Keep comparing this to the nfl. If that’s the case then just get rid of college football and call it what it is. Semi pro!

College football will now be exactly like college basketball. Regular season games will be more and more meaningless especially early in the season.

There’s no justification for this other than money. That’s why it’ll go through. They will act like they are against it… until they don’t.

When Ohio State lost Week 2 to 7-4 VT, did that matter? Remember when Kirk thought a team that lost a game deserved a playoff bid over a 13-0 team? Blue Blood Kirk’s team always gets the benefit of the doubt - always, always, always. Ohio State loses to PSU in the regular season, PSU wins B10, but guess who got to go to the CFB playoff? 🤔 We don’t want to hear it? A handful of blue bloods have few less meaningful games while 120 other teams have far more meaningful seasons. Cry me a river.

You are still the face of this abomination. While u claim u fear it might be a negative, you still stand to profit immensely off of the decision. You @KirkHerbstreit are the face of CFB on @espn. This makes you the face of the money grab for boardroom execs at the expense of CFB fans. You’re either gutless or a liar. Maybe both. Why is no one addressing that this is what is already in place in FCS, D2, and D3, and it works great. It is settled on the field. FBS has finally joined the rest of college football. Has joined high school football. Has joined professional football. An extensive playoff system!

Roll the clock back 20 years. #1 & #2 in polls go to championship. Everyone else plays for premium New Years bowls. Simple. Look at what we’ve given up trying to solve for losing teams getting a shot at the title.

With a 24 team playoff I no longer care who wins a regular season game between Indiana vs Ohio St., won't waste my time now.
